As someone who hasn`t cared much for the new wave Disney flicks ( LITTLE MERMAID onwards) this was miles of fun with a touch of anarchy. Take Disney, add a touch of Warner Bros. and some Manga and you`ve got Lilo and Stitch. I laughed out loud a few times, most of the funniest jokes come from the often deadpan situational humour. Head and shoulders above most of Disney`s recent big budget animated attempts.

Started off crap.......got crapper..........ended with usual Disney mushy (kind of) happy ending. All that was missing was a fairy godmother or mogai (voodoo) to bring back the dead parents!!!

All in all .........MINCE.

Not bad, but not a patch on Emperor`s New Groove, which really showed the path Disney should take.

Just took my kids to see it. They thought it was brilliant, I thought it was just OK. As it`s a kids movie, their opinions count.

l think Disney have lost the plot ages ago.

Their last huge hit was Lion King, which was excellent. Since then the have had a number of hits, Tarzan stands out, but nothing as big as Little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast. Both Toy Story films were massive and brilliant, but these were made by Pixar, rather than Disney.

lt seems like ever since Jeffery Katzenberger left to form Dreamworks, the have lost their way by rehasing older films and cheaply produced crappy direct to video follow ups.

Pocohantos, Hunchback, Mulan all had minimal appeal

Dreamworks are the guys to watch. Prince of Egypt was outstanding considering the difficult material and SHREK gets better with each viewing.

Strange as it may seem l think a lot of it is the lack of quality musical numbers. Little Mermaid had some good songs, Sebastian singing "De seaweed is always greener", Beauty and Beast had a few, Lion Kind had Elton John. l never liked the musical bits when l was younger, but they do make a cartoon a classic.

Hopefully Disney will get back on track. At least they have asked Pixar for Toy Story 3...

Sorry, but it looks to me as if you have lost the plot. This is a kids film and as far as I know, doesn`t claim to be otherwise! Judging from the laughter from a packed cinema of under-10`s, they loved it! From your post, it doesn`t sound to me as if you fall in that under-10 category! Not every film can be a Toy Story or a Shrek, nor do they set out to be that.

As I said earlier, my kids (5 & 8) absolutely loved it. So much so that I just ordered it on R1 DVD so they can have it for Xmas.

Everyone to their own I guess.

I didn`t have a plot to lose Steve! l just see a decline in Disney quality. Their films appealed to all ages before but don`t seem to any more. l think it`s a shame, that`s all.

Kids like it, great. But Lion King and Beauty & the Beast had a wider appeal as you can see by the money they made. And since Disney profits have been falling year after year, they respond by rushing out 2 or 3 animated features per year which lack the special touch Disney were once known for.

l have not seen Lilo & Stitch, it actually looks okay to me, l was just commenting on the overall state of Disney films around today.
