I feel dirty and phsicly sick.

Yes I used a bus for the first time in about 7 years this morning. The smell oh the smell.

All the best,

The 42%er.

As someone who is pathetically still suffering from travel sickness I can relate to what your saying. The bus companies obviously don`t have cleaning duties as a priority, especially on `minty` buses that have probably not been cleaned since deregulation. I`m getting that musty smell now, excuse me while I throw up...

I went on a bus once and the smell was foul too.

You could see everyone walking on to the bus and trying their best to discreetly smell their `pits to see if it was them!!
Quite funny actually.

The last time I went on a bus I was impressed by how much the driver can throw around such a heavy vehicle and not have it topple over.

I have the great pleasure of travelling by bus most days. Not sure I find them that smelly (although perhaps I`ve become used to it). It`s the left-over food all over the place that makes mw want to throw, together with the almost dry (and very sticky) streams of some indeterminate liquid that always runs down the floor towards the front. And then of course, there are the night buses.............oooooooooooooooooooooooooooh dear.

Had to stop getting the bus and buy a car. The smell of old ladies talc was making me poorly.

Haven`t used one for a while but when I did (before I got the block of rust on wheels which I call my car), seem to remember some sort of law that meant that when all you wanted to do was doze off for the duration of the journey, you`d always get the "strange" passenger sit down next to you and start a conversation (in a VERY loud voice) along these lines -

"What`s your name?"
"So where do you live?"
"Where`s that?"
"Do you know Jimmy?"
"you sure?"
"Tall guy, dark hair"
"What about Johnny?"
"you sure?"
"Tall guy, dark hair"
"Where have you been?"
"Where are you going?"
"Do you have any pets?"
"What are their names?
"Do you like them?"
"How long have you had them?"
"Do you know Timmy?"

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been using public buses for as long as I can remember, and yes, they can smell sometimes, but without them I would be screwed.

The bit that always gets me is deciding where to sit.....if there are no double seats left it can be a gamble sometimes. Do you sit next to the inert old person that smells, or the young dodgy teenager that might kill you?

It usually ends up coming back to smell basically.
