Anyone who watched the enjoyable King of Kong documentary may have a passing interest on the chasing of high scores on this very difficult game (because of it's random elements).

Well it looks like that might be at an end:

Two other players have been recently battling it out swapping the top scores between them, until Wes Copeland racked up 1,218,000 on what is suspected to be about as close to the perfect game as you can get.

And I'm still trying to get good enough at Pac Man to have even a hope of reaching the kill screen!

Talking of records... fans of King of Kong will enjoy this:

I loved King of Kong, but not long after I read some reports that painted things in a different light, maybe Billy Mitchell wasn't quite the evil villian they painted him out to be, maybe this was a lot of editing to make a story for a documentary.

Suddenly I feel like I did after watching it for the first time, Billy is perhaps not a saint after all...
