Page 1 of trojan.PSPbrick Virus in the Downgrader Files!!!

I`m trying to downgrade the firmware on my PSP so I can play homebrew games and I can`t believe how difficult it is turning out to be!!!

I`ve tried downloading the files from various sites and they all seem to contain this virus. Does anyone know of a site where I can get all the files you need to downgrade without them containing the virus?

Any help, suggestions or idea`s will be most welcome! Starting to get a bit p***ed off now! Using dial-up all day at work doesn`t help neither (largest IT consultancy firm in the world, and I`m using dial-up)!

that virus is ok it will not brick ur psp i thought the same when nortons scanned it for me it will not harm ur psp

Yep, used the MPH Downgrader and it worked like a dream! :D

As of 5 mins ago I`m now in the 1.50 firmware gang!

This might sound like a daft question as I haven`t done much research yet but I`m guessing I need some software on your PSP before you can play games off you memory stick. If that`s the case is there more than one out there and if so which is the best?

Any other tips/advice is welcome.
