Been after this for a while but can`t find it anywhere ! Does anyone know where I might get it ? (Apart from PlayAsia (sold out) and E bay (selling for £25 - £30))

Believe this is the best Cube footy game out there ?

Ahhh yes, it`s been well documented on this site over the years. WE6:FE is the Gamecube`s only Pro Evolution Soccer title, it being the Japanese version of PES2. Good luck getting it on Ebay; last time I tried to get it, it was fetching £70-80! And as you say there are no other importers on the net with any copies left.

What with the improvements in the latest FIFA titles and the high price, I decided to give up trying to get it. For that price you`re better off buying a PS2 with PES4 for example. Loath though I am to sing the praises of a big corporate franchise, I would have to say why not give FIFA 06 a go? It`s a very real improvement over previous FIFA`s, and though it still has its faults (what footie title doesn`t?) it`s well worth a punt. I wouldn`t go back to PES2 after it, put it that way. And I can personally vouch for the quality of the GC conversion; it`s great. It doesn`t have the shiny effect on the graphics that Xbox owners have complained about, but that`s either a good or a bad thing depending on who you talk to.

Hell, I ain`t selling it on EA`s behalf - best bet is try and get a go before you decide. :)

Thanx for that Mark. Have heard a lot about FIFA 06 (the improvements etc etc). Will keep watching for a cheap copy of Winning eleven on Ebay and in the mean time, will pick up a copy of FIFA 06 (I can always sell it on Ebay as they to are going for nearly as much as a new copy ???!!!)

As I say, you`re best having a go before you buy. Passions run high when it comes to football titles, and I`d hate to recommend a game and then have you blame me for £30 down the Swanee! There`s a review on CH4 Teletext`s Gamecentral today (P.378 or thereabouts) and it`s a very fair review. It`s the PS2 version but it`s applicable across the formats. If you get the chance have a read - Gamecentral`s always worth reading anyway. Have fun!

I got winning eleven 6 a while back on ebay for about £30 and to be honest it`s a great game and well worth the money but it definately loses something having the menus in Japanese. Since then I`ve got a PS2 and picked up PES 3 for a pittance and the only thing I miss from winning eleven 6 is the fantastic Japanese commentary. I`ve played the PS2 version a lot more understanding all the menus now.

If you are a footy fan and you`d pay £40 for the game you could pay another £40 and get yourself a second hand PS2 you can even pick up PES4 really cheap but two or three are under a £15. For me it`s been a good time to get a PS2 there are a lot of good old games that aren`t out on the cube that are amazingly cheap if you go for pre-owned stuff at Game or ebay. Especially as the Cube seems to be coming to the end of it`s run, bloody fantastic console that it is, but there are only a few games on the horizon I can see myself getting

Yeah, that`s true. The GC is definitely winding down now. I`ve got Lego Star Wars preordered from Amazon, and I`ve got my eye on Gun, King Kong, Battalion Wars and of course Zelda. But I only expect I`ll buy one or two of those. I have so many games to play through already, before the next gen comes. I still reckon Zelda will be a Revolution launch game, but there you go.

I`d do the PS2 thing, but I used to have one some time ago. I had quite a selection of games too (PES3 included) but sold it all off. I don`t miss it but occasionally I find myself fancying a go on GTA: Vice City! Great system the PS2, I`m not such a saddo Nintendo fanboy that I can`t acknowledge a great games console when I see one! For those who never had one, tazz is absolutely right. A PS2 is quite frankly a great bargain at the mo.

EDIT:

Have a look at the price on this. These are the kind of muppets giving eBay a bad name.

What a joke. I`ll stick with my FIFA 06 thanks.
