Help: Broadband connection speed required for xbox live

gednog (Competent) posted this on Monday, 6th September 2004, 14:23

I`m after a little help from anyone in the know.

I`m soon going to be shelling out for broadband at home and want to get my xbox up and running on xbox live at the same time. Does anyone know if theres a recommended speed for running xbox live? Basically I`m wondering if I`ll get away with a 512K connection.

Any help much appreciated and thanks in advance.

You`ll need a router and/or just an ethernet Modem. 512k is absolutely fine.

Basically a router with built in modem is the best way to go if you plan to have a PC on it at the same time. Otherwise an ethernet based-modem is the way to go.

yup. 512 is fine.. XIII has terrible LAG anyway, so don`t worry, TOCA race driver 2 has LAG now and again, but you can still play fine. Crimson Skies has no LAG, Top SPin gets it now and again, and when it does get it it is unplayable.
