Page 1 of Driv3r PS2 or Xbox?

I really want this game but don`t know whether to get it for PS2 or Xbox, i`m inclined to go for the Xbox version because of the superior graphics but my heart says PS2, anyone have any opinions?

I have just ordered the xbox version. I couldn`t decide either at first but then went for the xbox version just incase it has better graphics and playability. The two versions will probably be exactly the same as i heard that the game was made with the stuntman graphics engine. Most of the games are developed for the ps2 anyway and then ported to the other two consoles. I just hope it is a good game after all this hype. Hopefully it won`t look rushed. I would rather wait for a game to be properly finished.

I read one review that it has been rushed and is full of bugs. Apparently the AI is almost non-existant. From what I have read the game is going to be very disapointing and Atari have the nerve to charge people an extra £5 to play it.

I wish I hadn`t ordered it at all now. Unfortunately my copy has been posted. I`ve just read the review on game central and it gave it 3/10. I guess I fell for the hype once again. I don`t think i will even open it when it arrives and just send it back.

Wow! voorhees1978, are you always this positive. One person says its got problems and your all for not even opening it. Why do you think its been held back for nearly eight months!. I think that may have had something to do with making sure that everything was working don`t you think. By the way the mag reviews I have read based on playing the finished game is that its going to be the game of the year.

There are not many reviews out at the moment and all that are available say the that the game is unfinished and full of bugs. The fact there is been an embargo on all internet reviews of Driv3r, until friday, does seem to be have done for a reason and that is probably to prevent consumers reading any reviews until they have got the game. I would be suprised if there are any positive reviews of Driv3r.

I want the game to be good as i`ve been looking forward to it for months. Maybe I will open it just to see for myself what it is like. Then if it`s poo i`ll return it!

You are spot on I think.
Apparently it is so full of bugs (falling through floors etc.), the AI is non-existant (stand next to someone and shoot them repeatedly and they don`t move)....
Yes it appears it is rushed.
There`s a review today on CH4 text - page 377 or 378.

The fact that all online site will not be able to post their review of the game until Friday does sugest that this is the case. If the game was good then surely Atari would have allowed websites to post reviews by now. Looks like it is this years equivalent to `Enter the Matrix` which was also brought out by Atari.

Think i`m going to wait a bit now and read a few more reviews before i splash out my cash, if the reviews are good on friday, i may get it saturday, i`m sure nowhere`ll sell out.... actually come to think of it, if it is crap, no doubt the shops will have bought in too many copies, this may find its way into the bargain bins sooner than you think...
