ERASER R1 VERSION

Joe McEwan (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 22nd August 2001, 22:24

I understand that the UK 15 cert is cut by about 2 minutes. Can anyone tell me if the R1DVD is worth getting? I know that there are no extras but what about the sound, picture and uncut footage?
Thanx

Definitely worth getting. The picture (2.35:1 anamorphic) and 5.1 sound are very nice indeed, and the uncut footage is essential - I couldn`t believe how butchered the UK version was in comparison.

just to let you know the australian R4 version is also totally uncut (like the R1) but you have the benefit of the picture being pal.

An excellent R4 retailer is www.ezydvd.com.au who are actually doing Eraser at a special price of $20 AU. I very highly recommend R4 as the prices in general are very good (my friend bought the alien legacy boxset brand new for around £40!!)

Now considering that the current exchange rate is roughly £1 to $3 AU the price is around £6/£7!!!!

Including postage you should pay no more than a tenner!!
Here`s a link for the dvd

Hope this is helpful to you

Hi and thanks for your help. Unfortunately, just before you posted this I ordered a copy from DVD-concept.com for £12.99! Oh well, we can learn.
