Page 1 of Look and Read on DVD...?
DVDs & Films Forum
Now this was real scary stuff back in the day.
Does anyone else remember this BBC childrens educational TV show from mid 1970`s to early 90s, which had a floating orange head called wordy as its presenter. Wordy was like a typewriter crossed with Slimer from Ghostbusters...
Anyway, what chance is there that the serialised mini TV dramas that used to appear as part of the show, such as DARK TOWERS, will make it to DVD?
DT used to scare the bejesus out of me when I was just a 7 year old kid - along with another mini drama called THE BOY FROM SPACE, starring The Thin Man and Peep Peep, the boy who spoke backwards. There were others like SKYHUNTER, and I think they would do really well on DVD....
They occasionally crop up on UKNova.
/Wee Magic E episode of Geordie Racer led to me and friend writing "s***" and "s***e" on our Wee Magic E word lists... :D

The chances of these being officially released is very remote.
Many of the stories we remember like The Boy From Space etc were filmed in the late 60`s/early 70`s and the original broadcast format will have been wiped while the filmed inserts(the stories) remain and have been repackaged quite a few times over the decades.
When I saw The Boy From Space originally there was no "wordy",but thats the version that remains. These classic shows have actually been repeated quite a few times over the past couple of years on the CBBC channel.Look at the morning listings-L&R is still on there
