It`s the usual problem. Pay peanuts-get monkeys!!

I won`t buy any unsealed disk unless I`ve inspected it first. If it`s duff - refuse it. Those cardboard sleeves that W uses (occasionally)- almost guaranteed to scratch a disk!

Perhaps I`m being a bit unfair to generalise about Woolies staff. It`s a management problem if you don`t train your staff properly in the first place.

There really is no point in complaining - staff just get reassigned (moved to a different section). A case of moving deckchairs on the Titanic.....

l don`t think your being unfair at all!

WOOLWORTHS is the worst shop anywhere. They are all the same in every part of the country, messy, unorganised and always out of stock. THEY SUCK!!

What about Blockbusters. They do it on new discs (i.e.Snatch), and further enhance ex-rentals ("add a few more scatches here and there. Ah... the customer doesn`t know the difference"). And the staff look right miserable.

Why do u buy from these retailers. I buy online or from whsmiths. They have good customer care and know how to handle dvds. V.Shop sell sealed dvds which have security tags so they are also reccomend

I went into town on Saturday and checked out Woolies, heard a couple say how can they charge £24.99 for the Tigger movie !?!?!? I replied, because mugs buy at that price.....which didn`t go down well, I just laugh at the prices they charge for DVD`s, buy 3 for the price of 2, your having a laugh....

Cockbusters and Bulworths are the lowest of the low for retailers.....

Got Jaws from HMV 25th special 12.99 ( they got some fair buys at the moment) and it was seal wraped and the disc was spotless, first time I have purchased from them, but not the last.

Yep. Me too. I like the ` monthly madness` theme i.e. `This month, we`re going absolutley Tonto on all our old back catalog.....`.

I`ve bought a lot of stuff from HMV recently at £10-13 which is a reasonable price (but then I`ve got a HMV only 15 miles away!) It`s a worthwhile trip really- buy the el cheapo disks then laugh like a drain at the twits (misspelled that, BTW), spending their hard-earned beer vouchers on buying full-price gear. Go figure?

If only they`d do free p&p on their website, they could give play247 a run for their money.

Blockbuster are the worst for scratched discs.

Bought Alien Box Set from them, supposed to brand new and the DVD`s had more scratching on them than a Public Enemy record. Took it back, same again.

As for Woolworths, bought the first three Alien movies from them in the 3 for 2 offer and they are fine.

HMV, not bad but I never make a habit of buying from soul-less retail outlets...Play247 all the way.
