SEVEN (R2) - Sync problems

wildphantom (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 25th March 2001, 21:09

Just slapped in the quite brilliant double-disc set of `Seven` to watch for the first time and noticed that the sound is blatently out of sync. It is only a fraction out but is noticeable and certainly lets it down.
I read a review of the disc in some DVD magazine last week which also said their copy was out of sync and I`d like to know if anyone else can see the problem.

Is it a faulty batch and if so who should I contact?

Wildphantom, the problem may be player-related, as opposed to disc-related.

Which player do you have ? This will enable owners of the same player to say whether they`ve had problems too, just to rule out whether it`s the disc or not.

Can all subsequent posters please add their player if they`re having this problem, and we`ll see if we can`t get Nicky Campbell (bring back Anne Robinson) on the case !

I noticed those problems on my Wharfedale 750. Really p***ed me off to.

I tried stopping then restarting, pausing, fastforward to see if the lyp-sync problem would work, but unfortunetly had no effect.

My player is a Sony S325 and so should be up to the job. It plays the so called `dodgy` Toy Story Boxset and Matrix just fine.

I have Seven Platinum Edition (r1) and I find that I cannot change the angles in the multi-angle scene select. It remains on the original angle. Anyone else with this problem? PS. I have a Toshiba SD100E
