Bad Boys CE R2 DD sound quality

Has anyone who has this on DVD felt that the sound leaves a lot to be desired!
I`m pretty sure that the original bare bones version had good picture & sound when I rented it a while ago but this collectors edition seems very poor. The picture appears quite grainy & not what I have come to expect from DVD but the sound is really poor.
I had to boost the front channels & turn my sub up a lot to get the type of dynamics tha I`m used to..............anyone else notice this on this DVD?
Was begining to think it was my set up but straight after I watched Monsters Inc ;) no problems there! Anyone?

The film was made on a budget of $18million (and, according to Bay, he only had $10million to make the film) in 1995. It isn`t going to have the most dynamic soundmix ever.

I know what you mean, the mix isn`t as good as it should be. The score by Mark Mancina is great, yet in some places you can`t hear it that well (thank the Lord for the isolated score :D ).

yeh that`s exactly what I mean`t............the mix isn`t very good.........some explosions seemed lacking in ooph yet there was lots of rear speaker activity.........strange! At least I`m not the only one to notice this.
Cheers for the reples.
Is it worth getting the superbit?
