Page 1 of THE HOURS REGION 3 FROM CD-WOW?

Just received this DVD today.

First think noticed was the poor quality cover, it looked as if the colour had leaked.

Then when i try and play it i got a FILE SELECTION SCREEN of some sort displaying 2 different file options.

I`ve never come across this before and i have other region 3 discs.

Then i noticed the film didn`t play right the credits were in slow motion and freezing occasionally.

Contacted Cd-WoW about it and waiting for reply.

Anyone else had any problems with this or other R3 DISCS from CD-WOW?

CD-WOW have got back to me saying i can`t have a replacement as the DVD comes from a faulty batch.

I think something`s dodgy about their Region 3 discs.

I have just got Chicago and The Others on Region 3 also, i hope i don`t find problems with these also!

I sent back The Hours too. It was juddery to say the least.

The Others is fine. It isn`t anamorphic tho`....but for a fiver what can you expect :-)

Do you get the Chinese Subtitles automatically selected?

I have to turn them off at the start of the film- but it won`t even let me do that on the trailer.

Anyone tried the Chicago Region 3.

P.S Do all region 3`s from CD-WOW come with crinkled plastic on the fronts of the DVD cases. Both the Others and Chicago did, they also came with 2disc DVD CASES when both of them only have 1 disc!! Strange.
