I`m not seeing the BOGOF`s, but some damn good prices nevertheless. :/

:o

Unfortunately Amazon neglect to put the true value of items in package so have just got charged an extra £12.84 by customs even though the actual cost was well below the threshold !!!! :(

Amazon won`t refund the charges IIRC, but also IIRC you can make a claim to the PO for a refund of the charges, if you provide a copy of the invoice that shows the goods value.

Well that explains why i hadnt recieved my first order back on the 12th Dec.

This is a joke! We shouldnt have to pay charges as we are only paying £15 for the goods! £10 if you take the postage charges away!! And £8 of the cost is the bloody post offices charges.

The worst thing is ive got 3 packages on the way, which will mean three sets of £12 charges!!!

Im not going to pay, but whats the best suggestion as i want the HD Dvds?

Well just got off the phone with Customs and the Post office.

They have both advised that if we can prove that we paid under £18 then we will be able to get a refund. Only problem is you have to pay the charges first, then write off to the customs office with proof, and then once you recieve your refund from them, you then need to send proof of the refund to the post office who will refund their £8 charge!! It seems like a lot of hassle!!!

I contacted Customs on 0845 010 9000 (based in Cardif)

and

The post office on 08457 740 740 (you will need to go through to the complaints department)

Its worth calling Customs just to get a reference number as they will take down your details.

Anyway ive just got to wait for my to turn up now!! (I may get away with out any charges!)

We should really complain to Amazon about not putting the correct price on the front, it has caused alot of problems!! (This is the case?)
