Gets an ok review here:

www.vnunet.com/personal-computer-world/hardware/2195320/review-fujitsu-siemens-amilo

though this is sounds like a bit of a drawback:

"The video failings extend to playing DVDs and videos as well - the sample videos included with Windows Media Center were pretty much unwatchable in full-screen, although this was alleviated somewhat when viewed in a smaller window."

But for £300, less any codes and quidco etc you might find it seems pretty good value.

Not available for home delivery. Also couldn`t find anything in a 50 mile radius of me in the Midlands. Good luck if you can find it in stock - seems to be a DSG group `special` - advertise at a cracking price, but we may only have had one of these for sale in some remote part of the country! ;)

defo a clearance item - check the £xxx.97 price. The 97p thing is always an indication thats its rarer than nun in a brothel!

Beat me to it Bassman.
ANY DSG price being advertised at £x.97 is clearance and about as far as it goes down.

Can`t remember the inbetween step, think it was 98p meaning "Z" or "Soon to be clearance, get rid of it if you can" stock, then "C" or "Clearance, move it now or no new stock to replace it or take a large hit on the margin as these are generally -ve margin prices"

With the web it seems there may be a single unit in stock, a system glitch allowing you to sometimes access items no longer available or just a timeframe that it shows until the web team can delete it.

Oh, and if it`s negative stock I think it still shows on searches too, but would not be available ot sell or deliver. Might save some of the same situations later.
Product codes were generally the same for Currys, PCWorld and Dixons so also may be worth checking them respectively as there`s the odd occasion you`ll still find a nearby store with one and you can reserve/collect it :)
