HMV Sale (cough)

The HMV sale is online but the usual con!

Nearly all the tv series box sets have "Sorry... title no longer on special offer"

Since the sale has only just been online I doubt that these titles were ever in the sale!

They seem to be back in the sale now... must have been a technical problem.

That said, I can`t see any bargains among them. In fact the prices don`t seem to have been reduced much, if at all.

Got to say that the DVD portion of HMV`s sale is disapponting. Did pick up some cheap CDs though including (oh no - naff taste alert !) Girls Aloud and J Lo at 1.99 and Sugababes at 2.99. I tried to get the remix J Lo album at 1.99 quid, but if you added it to the bag, it came out at 8.99 quid. Update: HMV told me the item was "sold out" and it "took time" for the original 8.99 quid to propagate - but I tried it before going to bed, some 6-8 hours later and it was *still* showing 1.99 quid (it`s now showing 8.99 quid) - they should have pulled the product from listings until the price was sorted, IMHO.

BTW, HMV`s banners claim that games are on sale (from 9.99 each), but their games section has no sale stuff in it (apart from 4.99 quid budget games, which is their normal price anyway)! I guess that`ll change at some point soon...

Well I ordered Mean streets, Spartacus, and Duel today, all 2 disc special editions.

Came to £3.51 each delivered after the 12% discount voucher ;-)

Now I consider that a pretty sweet bargain myself!

I got the Tinto Brass set @ £18.99 and it`s great.

But I see the price has been hiked to £35.

Amazon has it about a tenner cheaper.

I got (instore) the 2 disc version of "The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy" (movie) for £7.99 and I`m keeping my eye on the "Back To The future" set - also I saw the Indy Jones set for £19.22.
Au Res.,
