Free digital camera

nick 745 (Competent) posted this on Friday, 2nd September 2005, 13:55

I don`t know if this is nationwide but Comets on Wednesday were giving away free digital camera (3meg pixels with screen on back) if you signed upto Onetel to recieve your calls. You get the camera there and then and no mimium contract staff told me I could go home and ring up and change my mind. You have to have a BT line and BT wanted to charge me £35 connection fee for thier "comeback for free" so I can`t take advantage of this offer.

Hi nick 745...

I`ve used Onetel for about 5 years now and I`m on NTL. I just dial a different access code to BT users. You don`t have to have a BT line to use Onetel but was it part of the sign up conditions from Comet?
Maybe you could go back and ask the promoters if you can still sign up?
I have since changed to `1899` to have 1p a minute phone calls to USA and Canada.

I would imagine that if you switch to OneTel for your line rental, they would bar you from using the cheapest call providers such as 18866 and 1899. Their call rates may be cheaper than BT but I bet they`re not as cheap as the two I`ve just mentioned.
