Did you click on the links in the e-mail ?

Incidentally, when I actually stuck my voucher in the basket it said it was redeemable by 14.6.01.

Here`s a guide to a quick Easter Egg on the HMV site (definitely works - just got Alien for £4.39 !)

(1) Click on the 2 DVDs for £20 link in the e-mail
(2) Welcome to Line One customer
(3) Click on the 2 DVDs for £20 link in the right hand pane
(4) Lists the first few DVDs - scroll to the bottom
(5) Click on the 2 DVDs for £20 link (yes, again)
(6) Check out the left hand pane - a load more bargains (the £6.49 CDs appear to be all of Bob Dylan`s back catalogue !)
(7) Click on the DVDs from £9.99 : highlights Alien, Alien 3, Being John Malkovich, Sleepy Hollow, Jaws, Deep Impact, and a load more - all £12.99.

Select your DVD and go to checkout - then click on `redeem voucher`, tap in the details, and then `redeem voucher` again - should shunt the order down to £4.39 (postage is £1.40 for standard 1st class mail).

Note - if you opened a LineOne account, presumably the voucher arrived in your new LineOne e-mail account ? It should have done, anyway !!

Happy spending - I finally got Alien for £4.39 after just missing out in the Encore Direct closing down sale (they had it for £5.99).

Mad thing was - I was already a LineOne punter ! Just logged into the new account for all of 30 seconds - game over - subsequently deleted it, but they still sent me the voucher to my normal address !

The offer is now closed - it took them 2 months to get the vouchers out to people !

it didnt actually install. As u know, most uni prevent changing internet and desktop settings as well as installation of programs. I dont think it actually installed as an error message came up but it was good enough for the website and i got my voucher. nothing will happen if u install it at home as u can afterwards delete the lineone dialup and email settings. I just did it at uni as i was there at the time.
