I just bought the series 7 digipack box set from Family Box Office for just under £25 including delivery and insurance. It`s R4 and PAL. Haven`t used FBO before so I`m having to go through their credit card validation procedure, takes a few days - they won`t send the order until it`s validated. People have said favourable things about them on this site.

Was a little bit worried about whether customs would give me trouble as it`s a box set, but info on this site suggests if it`s marked as a gift and less than £36 it`s OK (it actually is a gift as well!)

As you say, I think Splash were offering boxsets for £17.99, but I think it was only up to series 5 or 6. 7 and 8 were still well pricey. Also I think they were having delivery problems, although recent posts suggest they might be sorting this out.

hi !
Can u please tell me the difference between the ` Friends Series . . .Combo pack` and the `Friends Series . . .Digipack`, cos the Digipack seems to be costing much less than the combo pack on Australian DVD sites.(eg. DeVoteD.com.au)

Thanks !

Combo packs are when you get the 3 or 6 separate dvd`s in dvd boxes which are then housed in a cardboard box ..... the digi packs are when the dvd`s are not in separate cases but are housed in a gatefold style insert then housed in a much thinner cardboard box....like some of the 2 disc special edition dvd`s you can get such as fight club ,x-men r1 etc ... the friends boxsets look much better in my opinion in the digipack and loads cheaper which is allways better

The best place to buy Seasons 1-6 is Splash (£17.99 each) and the last time I checked the cheapest place for Seasons 7 & 8 was Amazon (£39.99 each).

Splash were doing the boxsets for 17 quid, I only got to order set1 last week and am still waiting on it arriving.

I went back to their website to order a couple more and the prices are now back up to shocking levels.

Check out www.ezydvd.au as I got Boxset7 there for 31 quid including p+p. It took about 7-14 days to arrive from downunder, which I thought was not bad.

I myself will keep an eye on splash to see what the craic is like, also keeping a good eye on www.dvdpricecheck.co something too....
