RE: X-files Season 3 - £59.99

Good spot.

Is it Region 2?

RE: Computer Not Playing Multi Region?

Barry,

I suggest you go to http://perso.club-internet.fr/farzeno/firmware/ click on utilities in the left hand menu bar and download either driveinfov 1.1 or mhsysstat v1.03 which will tell you the version of your DVD drive either RPC1 or 2. From there you can narrow down which "patch" you need and go from there. Or have you tried the Toshiba region change utility if you already know its RPC2.

Sorry to sound techie. If you want some more help email me at nedsraM.luaP[at]ten.mocwc and I`ll try and help if i can.

RE: Buying R2 DVDs from Australian Sites

Enjoy

RE: Speakers - Mission or Eltax?

Thanks for all the info and input.

I had decided to go for the QED pack at £110 until I read the post about them being plastic. A quick email to QED to confirm before I completely dismiss this as an option.

Thanks again. I`ll let you know how I get on.

RE: Speakers - Mission or Eltax?

Why is this Clayts? where are QED based or aren`t they an authorised dealer?

Speakers - Mission or Eltax?

Hi all,

I rang Richer Sounds today to purchase the Mission Cimema 70 speakers (£250) seems like a bargain. I was told they had sold out but would provide something better and cheaper the Eltax 6.2 - this sounds very encouraging, but before I part with my hard earned money I was wondering whether anybody could comment on the differences between these two set ups.

Any advice/comments welcomed!

Paul

RE: CHEAP JAMES BOND COLLECTION!!

I would suggets that you try www.devoted.com.au. £9.00 a disc (subject to exchange rate). Don`t forget to add on shipping costs and order each one separately to avoid import tax.

ER Series One? HELP!

Anyone know if the above is available yet (R2)? If so where from.

Wife`s birthday imminent!

RE: Renting Widescreen TVs......

Yeah realised after I`d signed the bit of paper that Sony`s don`t have a multi region hack - bummer!

RE: Renting Widescreen TVs......

Hi, I`m expecting to take receipt of a 32" Panasonic from Boxclever (formerly Granada) £34.99 per month including Sony DVD player. The inclusion of the DVD player was for a limited time only. £34.99 per month is the best price I`ve seen.

Can`t comment on picure/sound quality yet as TV hasn`t arrived but as its a Panny should be good.

RE: HMV (X Files) Rip Off! I will not give up!

I`ve also sent an email highlighting my disappointmnet and asking why its still available @£90 +. If more of us kicked off at them would they have a change of heart?

Another question, when does a contract become binding on internet purchases?

Paul

RE: HMV Online

Heads up guys. X-Files Season 1 online NOW £29.99. This is coutesy of varis - just spreading the word

RE: X Files Box Set

Just ordered mine. Great shout varis.

RE: Jungle / Seven problem...

Yeah, they`ve agreed to send me the two disc version after 6 e-mails (not including the auto responses). You may be right about the approach to take, but if a firm is willing to sell stuff on-line then surely they should be prepared to deal with customer enquiries/disputes via this method as well. Anyway, was it worth the wait?

RE: Denon or Sony Amp?

Thanks chaps. I`m now looking at the Sony STRDB940 as Richer sounds havce an offer on at the moment any thoughts on this or is it stil the Denon 1801?

I must admit my only concern with the Denon is the spring clip speaker connects - do these make a lot of difference?

Denon or Sony Amp?

I`m a newie to Home cinema and after months of pondering I have decided to purchase a Pioneer 535 player. Next up is an amp.

I am currently considering a Denon AVR1801 or Sony DB840.

Any comments on quality / problems experienced with these amps would be appreciated. My budget is about £300 so any info on other amps would be appreciated.

Thanks

Paul

RE: Se7en 2-disc : tenner from Jungle plus free P & P

Guess what folks, yep I got the one disc version thios morning with an invoice which stated 2 disc version. Just tried to contact them but surprise, surprise the site is down.

Do we have a case to push for the 2 disc version, what with money changing hands etc?
