RE: Free dvd with wap phone

If you look on the carphonewarehouse site, then you would see the Sky package seems very good, as it would appear that they on site they are only offering a free Samsung a300 on this package...no mention of the freeLG DVD player, only with the (cheaper) Motorola V50. Very tempting, but Mr Visa REALLY wouldn`t like it.

RE: Pipex ADSL £30 a month, no set up fee, £120 Modem required....

I`ve got an idea...don`t pull the USB connection out and you should have no problems.. ;-)

RE: Scan AVR 3000 - any reviews

What, like my free DVD?? ;-)

RE: Kodak Give in!!!!!!

Yes, but one must ask the question:

WHY DID RAYMOND VISIT THIS THREAD IN THE FIRST PLACE??

To slag the camera off because it`s `not for him`. So, if he`s not interested and DIDN`T order it from choice, then why visit this thread? It certainly wasn`t to say well done, guys...was it? He visited here with the express intention of saying we had gotten a crap camera. Why? `Cos I agree with the previous poster. HE`S A CHILDISH WIND-UP MERCHANT WITH NO LIFE. Sorry, but that`s how I feel about him....

RE: Kodak Give in!!!!!!

Methinks Raymond missed out on this deal (for reasons unclear) and is now throwing all his dummies out of the pram. A glorified webcam? I think that statement gives away the TRUE reason for having a go at the camera. Completely STUPID, idiotic statement. Some ppl really are sore losers! ;-)

RE: Cheap Godfather

...or they are going for approx £35 for a sealed copy on ebay.

RE: Can anyone identify the new Scan 2500

Come on, bear, surely you MUST put good-sounding karaoke at the top of your desired feature list when looking to buy a DVD player?????

`Annnddd nooowww, the ennnddd isss neeaarr, annndd sooo III faaaaaace the final curtaaaainn....`

LOL!! What does the karaoke sound like?? Classic...

LJ

RE: kodak fiasco

..but keep the media pressure up and they HAVE to cave in....don`t they? We`ll see. Especially considering a Kodak representative initially claimed only 25 orders had been placed. Yeah, right. ;-)

RE: Cheap 100hz flat 28

I think one of the mods at dvdforums (rst?) has this TV and he seems very happy.

RE: kodak fiasco

Dan,

You`re a 24 carat star, m8! Many thanks.

LJ

RE: What are these

FANTASTIC article, Dan! I will put a link to it on the other (several) BB I frequent if that`s OK with you? What I would REALLY like you to consider, given your obvious knowledge in these matters, is to draft a standard letter to Kodak outlining the action we as consumers are going to take. Then we could `personalise` the letter and fire it off to Kodak. I`m sure something like this would cause Kodak to receive a far greater number of WRITTEN complaints, thus hopefully helping them make the decision we all want them to.

Once again, many thanks for the work you`ve already done on this.

RE: Where has forest gump gone?

It`s the same shop....

LJ

RE: Can anyone recommend a CHEAP

Even cheaper at Safeway....£60! And, if you know someone who works there, believe it or not, they can get the Bush set up for £27!!!!!!!!!!! Now, that IS a bargain!

RE: Sony Pascal Speaker systems. Any thoughts/owners ?

Have you thought about the Videologic Digitheatre DTS speaker/amp package? The blck version was (Is still?) available for £250 from Comet (the identical silver version is £390!!). I bought this system a couple of weeks ago and am amazed at the sounds it makes from such small enclosures (the large sub obviously helps here!). The sats use Audax driver cones, I`d be surprised if the Sony or Yamaha systems used such high-quality units! I`m sure the real audiophiles on here will poo poo this system but I`m very very pleased with it.And you know the BEST thing? The wifey actually likes it, too! Because it doesn`t look so obviously `look at my cinema system`, if you know what I mean. For £250 it`s a complete and utter steal! Read some reviews here:

RE: NEW SCAN SC-3000 - Just received mine.

TYT? Sure you didn`t mean TIT?? :-)

LJ

PS nelley, why don`t you promise him a free DVD by way of recompense?? Choose something that will be released in mid-2002 then at least he won`t be able to complain until then about its` non-arrival. A great idea if you ask me. Give any commission payments to charity....

RE: Asda pacific DVD Player & Surround System £190

I have paid only £60 more for a Toshiba SD110E player coupled with the Videologic Digitheatre DTS amp/speaker package. Beat that! ;-)

RE: printer for under £25

>>>Even if you use the refill ink on a HP you can only do it 3 times because of the printer head.<<<

Who told you that, Deanos75?? I`ve been filling my HP820cxi`s cartidges for over 3 years (must have been filled 6 times each!) and the print quality is as good as when I first bought the printer! And it costs me approx £1.50 to fill them ,as opposed to £25 to buy a new one!!

RE: Cheapest Widescreen avaliable at the moment...

www.storeplus.co.uk have a silver Beko 28" widescreen (with a super flat screen) for £249.95 delivered. And if you join up with them for your own storeplus fully hosted store (it`s completely free, BTW!) you could qualify for up to £37 discount/commission off this, making it cost as little as £213 delivered.

LJ

RE: Lowest cost 32

Here`s an idea. www.storeplus.co.uk have a JVC AV32WFT1EKS flat screen for £713, BUT if you sign-up for a FREE store (hosted by them!) you could get this TV for as little as £600, as you can qualify for up to 75% of the profit margin in the form of commission on sales/purchases. The whole process takes approx 10 mins! Worth a look.

LJ

RE: HMV.CO.UK - BUY ONE GET ONE FREE.

Well, speaking as someone who has just recd 4 JP/Lost World box sets for £42, I have to say HMV are OK! Long may they cock-up their sale prices!

LJ

PS I have bought the box sets as Xmas pressies, NOT to sell on ebay!

RE: PHILLIPS DVD PLAYER (DVD612) £139.99

A decent price, but my wife could get this player for as little as £130 delivered. She has signed up for a free internet store at www.storeplus.co.uk . The player is £149.99 delivered (i.e £7 more than the great Sky special offer) BUT she qualifies for up to 75% of the profit margin in commission on any sales/purchases. A great idea IMO, and no guesses as to where we will be making our AV purchases in the future. ;-)

LJ

RE: hitachi c24w430n - any good?

>>>Unbeatable have a Tosh 28W93B for £400 odd (once delivery has been added) - I know it`s over the budget, but it might be worth holding back.<<<

There is a way to get this TV for as little as £360-odd delivered, but it`s not TOTALLY straight-forward (altho` it only takes approx 10 mins). www.storeplus.co.uk have this TV for £420 delivered. However, if you were to sign-up for your own FREE storeplus internet shop, you can qualify for commission/discount on any sales/purchases. The deal is that they will pay up to 75% of the profit margin in commission. Definitely worth thinking about. ;-)

RE: rumours / sky digital to purchase itv digital ?

I would have thought ITVdigital were highly delighted with RECENT sales! You can`t get the prepaid deal anywhere (sold out!) Now, why do you think ITV digital has suddenly gotten soooo popular?? Have a look on www.ebay.co.uk and see just how much second-hand boxes are going for these days! Controversial viewpoint coming up: ITV digital are receiving LOTS of £6.99 per month from punters (i.e. the min. package). Say these punters were utilising `dodgy cards` to access all channels (including Sky), then I don`t suppose ITV digital have to pay Sky et al for these punter`s channels as to all intents and purposes they ARE`NT officially receiving them. Win-win situation?? Discuss.........

RE: Toshiba SD110E for £60!!!!

Simple answer...it WAS only £5/mth requirement originally, the Egg accountant then found his calculator, and hey presto! Min. then went to £10/mth BUT Egg have honoured all those who signed up under the £5/mth offer.

LJ

RE: Looking for a decent sub-woofer

Do any of you people have neighbours who aren`t deaf???? Or do you live miles underground in sound-proof bunkers?? A 250-watt subwoofer? That`ll do my (rich) neighbour`s heir a REAL favour.;-)

RE: Looking for inexpensive multiregion DVD player

Littlewoods extra online have 15% off if you use this code XX836. Makes the jmb player £101...

RE: ~Phantom Menace~ WHERE IS IT CHEAPEST PLEASE ??

Cheapest I`ve seen it for is £4.95..............a guy on dvdforums used his £15-worth of Atlantic Beer Club vouchers against it at Safeway! ;-)

LJ

RE: Panasonic TX28PK3C

£800 seems a very good price. Cheapest I`ve seen it for is £860 delivered. Did it include a stand and where did you see it?

LJ

RE: Toshiba SD110E for £60!!!!

A poster on www.themoneybag.com phoned them yesterday and Egg confirmed that you actually DON`T need to be an existing customer, but please do your own checks first! My wife and me have both gone for this, as we were after new insurance anyway. Great offer IMHO. But only 5000 available (have they all gone now?). Anyone want to buy a brand new Toshiba 110?? ;-)
