RING remake NO!!!!
A couple of months ago I posted a review of the Japanese Horror movie RING.I said in my review how it was the most original movie in this genre .Judging by the comments of people that seen it,a lot of you agreed.The movie showed hollywood how to make an intelligent and geninuely scary story, and left you with a feeling of forbodeing.
Well you can guess how cheesed off I felt when checking out http://www.aint-it-cool.com that Dreamworks are now remaking the movie for the western market.Now I dread what the people at hollywood will do with this movie,god help us!!
Please watch the original now before it becomes another teen slasher!!

Interesting to see that most of you have enjoyed the movie.I have to admit that it`s not to everyone`s taste, but worth seeing none the less.
Japanese films are more prepared to cross the boundaries that the film companies in Hollywood brainwash people into accepting as entertainment.Let`s hope that some film studio does`nt remake it!!!
P.S. I don`t think that i`ll look at another petite japanese woman in the same light as well !!!!

Just English subtitles, Supposibly not as good as the cinema release.
There are some badly translated lines but these don`t spoil the movie.

It took 5 days from the states not too bad!!
It`s only a 1 disc dvd i`m afraid unless there is a special edition out there.

If you like the horror/thriller genre, then you must see this movie.I heard about it after seeing Ring and was intrigued to find out if it was as shocking as people had said.We`ll if you squirmed at Hannibal in the cinema then prepare for one of the most gruesome movies in a long while! I really don`t won`t say too much about the movie`s plot ( there has been too many spoilers about it on other Forums ) but it has taken movies like Fatal Attraction to a new level.Believe me you will squirm watching the last scene!! You can get the dvd at www.dvdasian.com Region 3 it cost me £15 well worth buying!!

Your right, but it was a R1-6 mod I had fitted originaly.
The problem is that they are still selling the mod as 1-6 compatible.
I had my friend ( Who is a qualified Sony engineer ) fit the new mod ,and he said the main difference is the way the chip is attached to the board.
It seems that Techtronics proberly have`nt checked this out, I may be wrong about this but it would be interesting to hear if anyone else has had this problem.

Yes they`ve done it again! A week ago I bought Crouching Tiger Region 3 and The Matrix Region 4. Having instatlled a Mod chip from Techtronics about 2 years ago with Region 1-6 capabilities I was amazed to find out that both these region`s did`nt work.I got in touch with Techtronics via their website and had a reply saying that they knew about this problem and that it was a "firmware problem" that they had`nt forseen.
I have a Panasonic A350 and decided to try another mod chip ,enter www.dvdchips.co.uk.We`ll I just had it installed and guess what it works! Not only does it play all my dvd`s ,It selects the region`s for me and it has as a bonus disabled macrovision.So much for Techtronics.
People don`t use this company and judging by the comments on Forums here and on other site`s they won`t be around for much Longer!!!!
Warning!! Panasonic A350 Mod from techtronics
I just got a message back from techtronics explaining that their mod won`t work with newer region 3 and 4 dvd`s.It seems that they are working on this at the moment ,so i`ll have to wait to see my copy of Crouching Tiger now!!!!
Panasonic A350 Problems playing region 3+4 with tectronics Mod
I just bought Crouching Tiger Region 3 and Matrix Region 4, I have a Panasonic A350 with a Tectronics Mod.According to the manual I can switch to these regions by pressing the numbers on my controller when in standby mode.But when I try this all i get is the message "This type of disc cannot be played.Please insert a diferent disc.".
The Mod works for Region 1 and 2.
Please Help!!!
