I`ve tries the digital vs analogue outputs and the digital one is a lot better. Although, I only tried cheap analogue interconnects against a £25 coaxial lead!

I`m after a cheap 5 metre mono phono cable to connect my sub to my amp.

I got the Yamaha NS-P300 set from http://www.unbeatable.co.uk

Cost me about £140 quid. Not brilliant but does the job well, especially for the price!!

I`ve got the RX-V566 and the NS-P300. Bought them from unbeatable before Chrimbo. The system`s not that bad, especially for the money.

I listened to the Sony speakers in a shop and wasn`t impressed.

I`d go for the Yamaha set-up - great VFM!! You`ve aso go the option of upgrading later on...

I bought a QED Squart cable which I can wholeheartedly recommend. It cost me £50 but the difference it made was tremendous. I have since tried different `quality` cables and have stuck with the squart.

Hi Rover,

I`ve got the same problem as you and needed speakers that were inobtrusive.

When I was looking around at amps and speakers I had the opportunity to listen to an A5 connected to some of the new Mission FS2-AV`s these are the new-fangled NXT flat panel speakers and were superb!! They will be the next upgrade to my system...
