RE: Gilmour....oh dear!!

I used to think that way myself, and I won`t argue. But when I heard, "Live at the Brighton Dome", (about 1971) it sounds like half way between the "two" of the first Floyds, Syd Barrett`s Floyd, doing Dark Side Of The Moon, live, with keyboards sounding like they do on some of "Relics". The official, "Dark Side Of The Moon", is like a studio version of this concert, but a bit watered down.
I have played this bootleg tape to a good few Floyd fans, and it does make you wonder. I think Barrett`s influence, was not gone till "The Wall", came out.

RE: Gilmour....oh dear!!

I think he must need the money, or the record company does!
As for "Wish you were here 2", you are bang on! My own opinion, Syd Barrett was the driver, the rest of the band was the car. I have got Pink Floyd Live At Brighton Dome, on cassette tape, from about 1971, miles better than Dark Side Of The Moon.
