Complaints.

There have been several complaints about the use of offensive language in the workplace. I feel this is due to a lack of verbal expression/articulation amongst staff. This "phrase evolution" may help.

It has been brought to management`s attention that some individuals throughtout the company have been using foul language during the course of normal conversation with other employees. Due to complaints received from some employees who are more easily offended, this type of language will no longer be tolerated.

None the less we do realize the critical importance of idividuals being able to properly experss their feelings when communicating with fellow employees. Therefore, a list of code phrase replacements has been compiled so proper exchange of ideas and information can continue in an effective manner without risk of offending our more sensitive co-workers.

OLD PHRASE PREFERED NEW PHRASE

There is always a very strong police presence whenever there is a home match played here in Leicester. The police act like they expect trouble each time. Is it to do with the rival team supporters being a different colour or religion? So, why do some of the fans get into a fight? Yes, stabbings do occur, I know about them because I have to treat the injuries in A&E.

It is obvious that some individuals on here are anti-muslim from there comments on these sorts of threads. Fair enough, everyone`s prejudices are formed from what they have experienced in their lives, but at least admit they are seeing things from their own viewpoint, instead of dragging up old facts and articles to justify their tirade against another culture. I like to read your own opinions on here, not some expert/scholar/reporter`s opinion thank you.

New Medical Dramas...

Grey`s anatomy - story of young girl (daughter of brilliant surgeon) struggling with her live as a new surgeon

House - Hugh Laurie as a diagnostician with a caustic bedside manner and treats his staff like crap (but they seem to like it).

Any comments? Does anyone even watch this stuff? Or is it just me?

Question for Leicester Drivers

Hey All!

I have a question for all the people who live in Leicester. I was driving past the LRI 2 days ago when I saw a car that had been stopped in the bus lane by the police. There is nothing unusal in that expect it was an unmarked police unit. The car was a blue Skoda Octavia RS with the flashing blue lights and "police stop" strip concealed in the back window as well as blue lights concealed behind the front grille.

I was aware that the Leicesterhire Constabulary has bought up lots of Skoda Octavia RS models (white) for marked patrol cars (i wanted to get one at one point). I know in the past that I have seen unmarked units which were Subaru Imprezas, BMW 3 and 5 series etc etc.

I was wondering if anyone else has noted these unmarked units?

I have to agree with all you knackered people! Our 2nd son is just 3 weeks old. How about me - I work nights in a busy Leicester Hospital then have to come home to a baby who feeds every 3 hours and a five year old with a bad case of the flu.
