RE: RCE encoding

Also, Philips One4All hack is RCE compatible...

RE: Phillips 955 problems reading certain vcd movies but phillips 711 reads them

I`m not sure but... Is 7.12 the right firmware to 955 players?? I can`t remember, but I thinks there`s another firmware "serie" up to 9.25 to these machines...

I`m not sure.. check www.jeroenverhaar.com for information about players/firmware.

RE: Phillips 701- are there limits?

>The 25 times limit and Play 274/159 codes related only to programming using the >Philips remote supplied, don`t do it. You have to keep re-programming with different >codes to change regions and yes eventually your DVD will lock up.
>But even that can be oversome, as there is a reset code.

There`s no code to reset the player if you`ve locked it by entering codes more than 25 times.
The only way to reset a locked player is by connecting it with a PC and using hyperterminal to reset the NVRAM
Use One4All remote hack to enable region free without troubles.

RE: CAN YOU HELP ME TO HACK MY PHILLIPS 701????

You`ll need...

The One for All remote, or...
A Palm Pilot + Omniremote, or...
A Philips Pronto.

no way to use 222... code with the supplied remote.

RE: my philips 710 is locked help me

>7) You now have a hacked Philips player playing at least R1 & R2 discs.

And region 4 too (tested)

222... (Haggis) hack seems to be full multiregion

RE: SANYO 1500 HACK NEEDED!

Warren please, could you send me the hack, please?

Thanx a lot

RE: PHILIPS 711/51 HACK IS IT A MULTI HACK ?

RC6 hack is a multiregion hack.
Once applyed, no need to enter more codes.
The player is region free.

RE: Palm pilot hack for Philips 711

Yes.
This hack is RCE compatible

RE: Problem with converting philipps 751 for MULTI REGION with PALM

You may have to install again Omniremote on your Palm. Try to desinstall the program & the pdb from the Palm, then reinstall remote.prc & omniremote.pdb (the one you have to download)

Good Luck

RE: Philips Firmware

Power on your DVD and television. Select the DVD channel (if it`s not already). Press the  menu button. Go to the most left menu-item. Go to "Access Control / status window / low power standby menu". Keep pressing the down button, untill you get your firmware version.
Now you can see which firmware version your DVD player has.

RE: Phillips DVD 701

If you acces the dashes using the original remote instead the One4All you will lock your player...!!

Use One4All (Haggis) hack explained on this site. Your player will turn into region free only with one code.

Mikey P, your information is outdated. Please, check this forum.

RE: Region 3 Hacks for Philips 756 Player

I can play regions 1,2 & 4 with Haggis hack.

I don`t have any R3 disc, but I suposse this hack makes the player full multiregion.

RE: Philips Firmware 7.12

Thanx again, Haggis.

Could you explain what this new firm does? Or is it just a review of 7.03?

Thanx a lot...

RE: Philips 756

>>Is the multi region hack for the Philips 750, 756, etc only to be used a certain number of times before the system locks permanantly or does the code truely make the system multi region via this one code.

No. The hack on this site (thanx to Haggis) works with a special remote (One4All) or with an IR special code emulator (Palm) instead of the Philips original handset.

This way you only have to perform the hack once. You don`t have to enter more codes. Even better this hack is RCE compatible.

If you want to inject more codes on the player (since its codefree you won`t but it is a posibility), accessing the dashes display with this method (RC6 special command) won`t lock the player. It`ll lock if you use the original handset.

Please, next time have a look on this forum. The answers were here...

RE: philips hacked but problems

>>1. Thank you for the one-for-all-hack, which has helped many 711 users I would think.

This hack has helped ALL Philips users.
We ALL aprecciate Allan eforts.

RE: Grundig GDV110 (Philips 710 clone) It wont go multi-region

I think you should use the univesal hack with the special RC6 command...

RE: Philips 710 Hack Explanation

As far as I know, Philips players only play VideoCD 2.0

RE: Philips 710 Hack Explanation

>>1) The first 3 digits correspond to the software mode of the player going from 0 0 1 - 0 2 5. The standard mode for the English Philips 710 is `P4` ie 0 0 4. You can find out which software mode yours is in by going into your setup and choosing the very last option `OSD Language`. If you press down one more time it should come up with the firmware version information, mine is `(c) PHILIPS`98-`99 9.23 000124 P(*)`

Are you sure about this? I`ve read that players with P32 are able to play SVCDs (like asian machines do)
And there`s a way to enable this by entering a code (I don`t know what code...)

RE: need to know how to get back to the virgin menu on philips dvd 751

You could use a Palm Pilot program. Check this site. (http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/)
Or a Philips Pronto Remote. Check http://www.home.zonnet.nl/jeroenverhaar/en/index.htm

Don`t try RC6 hack with the Philips remote. It won`t work properly...

RE: need to know how to get back to the virgin menu on philips dvd 751

I`m not sure if Virgin Menu puts the player in "Virgin Mode"... It turns the player like brand new in terms of settings (language, TV format, sound adjustments...) but I don`t know if this can remove codes if you`ve been playing with "PLAY 159..." stuff.

RE: Hack for the phillips 701 ???

You can find full information on this site:
http://www.home.zonnet.nl/jeroenverhaar/en/

Check "regionhack for all DVD player models" (Philips)

RE: need to know how to get back to the virgin menu on philips dvd 751

Virgin mode reset:
Power on with these keys pressed OPEN/CLOSE together with PLAY.
After this sequence, the player displays "VIRGIN MODE" for a few seconds, and then powers-off. After powering on again (with Stand By button), the initial virgin mode selections and menus appear on the TV screen.
(from RsstX`s Philips 950/955/956 Tech Info)

To check your current firmware version of the DVD player:
Power on your DVD and television. Select the DVD channel (if it`s not already). Press the  menu button. Go to the most left menu-item. Go to "Access Control / status window / low power standby menu". Keep pressing the down button, untill you get your firmware version.

Hope this help
