Someone told me that chipping it with Xecuter 2.6 was better than soft modding it.
And you can get a solder-less chip now for a few quid more.

Norton was a nightmare and wouldn`t uninstall properly - had to format the hard drive !

Got the new issue today. What a pile of sh*t, worse than usual. And the 2 free calenders are unbelievably bad. What are they thinking of ?

I took up the 3 months for a pound Loaded offer and to my suprise have found it a much better read. The music and movie reviews are better and the totty is top-class :) And 2 free DVDs in 3 months isn`t bad.

But you have to register to get that far, so their mis-pricing error has got them a whole new bunch of email addresses for the marketing dept. Result for HMV.

If anyone gets it and realises its rubbish then please donate it to your nearest Help The Aged charity shop as many old people suffer in the cold during Winter, and its better with them than gathering dust in a cupboard (next to all those free Sim cards ;) ).

I don`t know why the Panasonic DMRES10 doesn`t have DV-IN so I could use firewire to get film off my MiniDV camcorder, when cheap DVD recorders like the Yamada DVDR 8400x do have this feature.

That is the only thing putting me off getting the DMRES10.

Many thanks for posting this. I have wanted one for a long time and this was easily the best price I have seen by far. It arrived yesterday and is great. It looks better than in the photos. The Mario VS Donkey Kong game is very addictive too.

The offer is now closed and I was lucky as they had to recall shop stock to satisfy demand. I think they may drop in price before Xmas with the DS and PSP entering the market though.
