Help yourself - same deal, expires tomorrow night

RE: Free £5 Paypal Voucher for Your Ebay Postage

Apparantly these can only be used if they are actually sent to your account and are not for general posting like this :(

RE: Worx Professional Jigsaw only £14.79 - reduced from £49.79

Professional ??? Yeah right! ;)

I`m sure its great for the diy`er and is certainly a bargain at under £15 but it makes me larf that some of these unknown budget brands market these tools as professional yet you don`t see many tradesmen using them

Yes, thats what he said in the post ;)

Hack needed for Philips LX3900SA

Need a hack for my Philips LX3900SA - lots of other LX models listed in the region hack section but not this specific model.

Any help as to which hack works on this would be much appreciated.

RE: X Box offer at Argos back on from Christmas day

Blimey - they open Christmas Day?

RE: Xbox Ultimate Travel Pack 29.99

Might be £14.99 but they`re adding £10 delivery now so the £22 all in price earlier this week was the best deal

RE: X Box with four games for under £50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we don`t actually need a memory card unlike the PS2?

RE: 10-film Disney box set £17.97 at Amazon

Amazon amazingly :B

But I have just looked and they seem to be out of stock now - possibly due to the fact I probably wasn`t the only one having a right moan at their customer services today regarding the fact that the item their suppliers could not supply seemed to be so readily available again is anybody wants to pay £91

Were certainly available at lunchtime today ;)

Amazingly Amazon now have them back in stock!

But priced at £91!!!! >:(

RE: Tom Tom One £159.99

Richard Dyas eh?

Maybe he`s Robert`s brother? :D

RE: The Incredibles & Finding Nemo on PS2 for £2 each

I`ve checked my credit card and nothing has been taken yet so awaiting security checks must mean payment still pending so I would expect us all to get cancellation emails today as they won`t have the stock to honour this :(

.........I hope I`m wrong

RE: The Incredibles & Finding Nemo on PS2 for £2 each

Cheers!

But won`t hold my breath as this is on MSE as well so 100`s of people have probably jumped on this so they may well not honour it or won`t have the stock.

RE: Free DVD recorder and money off with any LCD TV at Amazon.

Thats it guys, keep thanking him/her so they don`t get in another stroppy huff :D

I actually wonder sometimes whether people actually post for the benefit of others or just to make themselves feel all superior?

It was actually a good spot but was spoilt by the whole need for praise thing >:(

(Which has now actually been edited I notice :) )

RE: FREE O2 SIMS............Again

"Not bad for a first post!"

Even though you do say so yourself! :D

Although if you`d looked down the board you`d have found that these have already been posted this week ;)

RE: debenhams leather chair.49.99

Is it definately that particular chair as there are other black leather ones on the site?

Also, is it going to be in-store or internet orders only?

RE: CASH FOR YOUR OLD MOBILE

Not a bad idea but surely its easier just to sell on ebay.

Also, I just tested their valuation and they offered £21 for a phone I am currently selling which I know will fetch £30-£35 on ebay and I know I will receive the funds before sending the phone :(

Philips DVDR3305 Query

I have had a Philips DVDR70 for 3 years and it played everthing OK and now I also have a Philips DVDR3305 - and, yes I know that Philips dvdr`s are not exactly popular on here but I just wanted an extra cheapie and it cost under £80 on ebay.

It records fine and plays back all recordings ok and also plays back all shop bought discs fine.

But it has problems playing any PC burnt discs ie. films on dvd+r or dvd-r or backup movies etc.

I have a number of these which have always played back on all other machines but on this one it freezes up on every single one after 20-60 minutes or whenever I try and search thru chapters.

Am I right in thinking that DVD recorders have problems playing this type of disc whereas it should play ok on a dvd player?? And have I stumbled across something else I`d been wondering about for a while in my technical ignorance - is this what is known as DIVX capable?

I have been told today by somebody that all DVD recorders struggle to play PC burnt media yet generally plain dvd players are OK, yet my old DVDR70 had been playing these discs fine for years.

Are there any cheap (its for the kids room) DVD+ recorders out there that are particularly good at playing this sort of burnt disc as the kids have loads of these they watch? I don`t really want to have a seperate stand alone player for these discs

There must be some satisfied Philips customers out there,

Yes, I am one - but when I mentioned that I have had my Philips for over 2 years without any problems or faults whatsoever I was told by a certain other poster that I was "WRONG, WRONG, WRONG" so I`ll just shut up! :o

RE: Philips DVD Recorder - £129.99 @ Sainsburys

Paull - You really are a charming individual aren`t you?

How dare anybody have a different opinion to you! lol :B

RE: England top bargain

I don`t think it will be the new England shirt as they don`t come out til the end of February/early March.

These 2004/2006 shirts are going cheap all over - they were being touted at £6 each on MSE forums last week

Also, if its 70% off how come its not cheaper than £11.99??? (£24.99 - 70% should be £7.49)

Buy a shirt for £12 and 3 weeks later its out of date >:(

RE: Cello DVD recorder £49.99 in Co-op

Just set mine up - for under £50 I can justify having one for the kitchen.

Very pleased.

But are they actually any good?

RE: Poundland Compatible Ink Carts

PaulJB... wrong wrong wrong. philips are notoriously unreliable.

How can I be wrong?

My Philips is over 2 years old and I`ve never had a problem. I was talking from my own experience to the best of my knowledge - no need to be so "high and mighty" :p

RE: Philips DVD Recorder - £129.99 @ Sainsburys

I`ve got a Philips and its fine - that sounds like a good price to me.

Yes, there`s a lot of argument in favour of the Panny but i wanted a simple machine to replace my VHS and it does the business. Philips are dvd+ format which means you can play the recorded discs on more other machines than a Panasonic recording which is in dvd- format. Also Panasonics I believe cannot easily be made multi-region whereas a Philips is dead simple - a major factor for me as my discs are all different regions.

RE: CD-WOW £2 vouchers

Can anyone confirm if they have to be used today??

They don`t seem to have an expiry date. I `ve hung on to some of these for months before until theres something I need to order and they always seem to work - hope these are the same?
