RE: Cheap Dell, complete PC package!!!

I have managed to sell my pc to a mate for £200 so it`s now only costing me £116 for a brand new pc . Plus I`m after the epson cx3200 all in one printer for £86 so have put my two digi boxes on ebay left over from the sky+ upgrade to go towards the cost of that . So all being well I should have a new set up this time next week. 8)

RE: Cheap Dell, complete PC package!!!

Thanks dusty . I went for this last night . I don`t do a lot on the pc (play games , dvd`s etc) so for the price it`s great and comes at a welcome time as my old 600mhz has been giving me grief ever since I had broadband connected . :)

RE: First and Last DVD you bought

FIRST : A night to remember (Titanic movie) £9.99 HMV .
LAST : High Fidelity £6.49 asda last week .

RE: Every which way but loose/Any which way you can...any DVD release dates???

Both films are available on region 1 . I have both on video along with another 14 or so clint eastwood movies I would like to replace with dvd at some stage . I have only replaced my dirty harry / unforgiven video`s with the special edition dvd`s so far .

RE: SO WHAT FILMS HAVE YOU GOT ON VHS,BUT HAD TO GO AND BUY THE DVD TOO??

I had around 350 vids when I started on dvd`s . So I took a list into work every week for a couple of months and sold them for £3 each . The cash then went towards some replacements and some new that I wanted . I still have around 50 vids left these are a collection of what I could not sell and did not want to sell (entire collection of only fools & horses) for example and a few films that are still not available on dvd. Catholic boys , Mcvicar etc . I must have been the top buyer at play one month buying all my replacements . :)

RE: Too bloody good to miss - Sky+ for a Ton!!!!

You will need an optical cable to connect the sky+ to your audio equipment . There are places on the internet where you can get them cheap . Or if you can`t wait you can get one in B&Q for £9.99 of if you have a gamestation store etc near you . Then the ps2 one they sell would do . I would not expect to pay anything over a tenner .

As for your delemma regarding the amount of channels you can watch/record . you can only do the following .

1 watch one channel while you record another
2 record two channels and watch a previous recording you have made .
but you cannot watch a third channel while you are recording two . This is due to the sky+ having duel input .

If you really need to record two channels while you watch another then all I can suggest is that you do something like what my father in law does . He for example likes to watch the midweek football plus other channels on at the same time . So now he can watch the live match while recording the sci-fi programmes on skyone then he uses the vcr to record the soaps on itv / bbc . hope this helps .

RE: Its Saturday Night/Sunday Morning! What films have you been watching!

watched rocky 2 and the league of gentlemen (jack hawkins) classic b&w movie that I had pre-ordered from play .

RE: Well.. i didn`t waste much time... My Wife is pregnant.. i`m going to be a daddy!!

RE: Optical Cable Switch?

Hi I got this from maplins (warrington store) last week as I have the same problem with sky+ being installed on friday . I think the website shows out of stock but if you have a local maplins store you can give them a ring as they definately sell this product . hope this helps .

3-Way Optical Digital Audio Switcher See Prices Below

Bigger Picture

As more and more items of home entertainment equipment are supplied with optical digital audio connections (TosLinks™) it is increasingly frustrating that amplifiers and surround sound processors have only one input. This simple to use switch solves the problem of having to repeatedly plug and unplug equipment leads. This switcher will allow you to select an input from up to three sources with a positive locking action to ensure optimum signal transfer.
· Prevents wear on cables and connectors caused by repeated plugging and unplugging
· Standard TosLink™ type sockets
· Three optical inputs to one optical output

RE: Beverly Hills Cop trilogy £8.99 from Splash

That`s if you can get a refund . I didn`t last time out . They took the money had no stock offered me a refund and I never got one . We all know what they are like you pay your money you take the chance .

RE: Beverly Hills Cop trilogy £8.99 from Splash

Taken a chance . As I,ve been stung by splash before . Used the £2 off voucher so order was £6.99 . If it comes then I would only use them for one off orders . I would not use them full time .
