RE: Unbelievable Toshiba Progressive Scan 32

I was lucky enough to get one. Asked in store why so cheap and the guy said something about trying to boost sales. Price shot up not long after I got mine. They also sent my with the open stand.

RE: Help: £750 - £1000 Digital Home Cinema Setup Recommendations

Just to add to the melting pot.

Manrantz SR4300 is a great buy, but worth checking out the new Yamaha RX-V440. Has 6.1 surround like the Marantz and all the features, but is prices £299 new - have seen on unbeatable for £230!!

Guy I spoke to a WhatHifi the other day gave the impression that in their mag next issue, they rate it the best of the bunch to date.

RE: Is the following av amp any good???

To add to above. Had to speak to What Hifi a couple of days ago about the Marantz SR4300 and the Sony STRDB1080. They mentioned a new Yamaha (RX-V440). Replaces the highly rated 430 and they were giving me the impression that they rated the best of the bunch for 6.1 sound. Have found this for £230 on QED.UK and Unbeatable and this does PL2 and all the extra sound sounds.

Mixing US and UK hardware - Panasonic HS2 in particular

Is there a way to get American hardware (DVD recorder) to work alongside a UK TV, or do the differing TV signals makes this impossible? I ask as I am travelling to the US shortly and friends over there can pick up a Panny HS2 for under £550.

RE: Panasonic DMR-E30 DVD recorder Only £408.90 Delivered!!

Hi there - this site is now saying only £340 -thats cheaper than the Phillips I`ve seen for £360. Now I`m stuck on which format to chose. Any suggestions from anyone?
