RE: For Sale: Trade List: Black Hawk Down, Louis Theroux, Nights Tale, Chain Reaction DTS

I`m interested in Black Hawk Down and Muppets From Space. I`ve got these to trade:

John Carpenters Vampires R2
Pearl Harbor R1 2 disk DTS
Galaxy Quest R2
The Dish R2

RE: For Sale: Visual Basic Enterprise Edition 6.0

Is this a full version or a `backup`?

RE: Are the DVD forums down

They are working now.

RE: Philips Cool Green DVD958 for £179.98

I bought one from Currys yesterday, it had two James Bond dvds free in the box from Philips and Currys gave me three more dvds free. I think the Currys free dvds offer ended yesterday. According to http://www.regionfreedvd.net/player/philips.html the player can be made region free via a remote control.

RE: Philips Cool Green DVD958 for £179.98

I`ve just ordered the philips 32pw9536 TV and matching video that goes with this dvd. If I didn`t already have a dvd player, I`d go for it. I`m still tempted though, does anyone know if its region hackable?

RE: Has anyone been having problems connecting to Morpheus?

There was a story on www.zeropaid.com about this yesterday. The morpheus servers are broken. Hopefully they will be fixed by the time Iget home tonight.

Any good hardware review sites?

I`m looking for a site that reviews televisions, etc.

RE: A theory... can anyone prove me wrong?

When I were a lad we dreamed of C64s and floppy disks. Now that I`m 31 C64s and floppy disks were the good old days.

RE: What is the most wanted DVD?

I expect most of the people who have bought pirate star wars copies will go out and buy the dvds anyway. Just like the ones of us who bought the phantom menace even though they thought the film wasn`t great.

RE: How many of us took up £100 Kodak Offer!!

Clayts, how much was the carry case? I got someone to order me the carry case that kodak had for two quid in their clearance section (I didn`t see it before I placed my order). When he phoned to reconfirm his order for a camera the operator persuaded him that the carry case would probably be too small so he cancelled it.

RE: How many of us took up £100 Kodak Offer!!

I ordered one and I told three guys at work who ordered one each as well.

dvd reviewer and norton internet security problem

I use Norton internet security 2002 and I`m having a problem seeing most of the graphics that are used on these forum pages. The images just are not displayed, instead I get a little white box with a red x in it. I am using windows xp and internet explorer.

Examples of the graphics I mean are ones that are used to select page numbers at the bottom of threads that have more than one page and the `Return to treads` graphic.

If I switch off the privacy control in norton internet security then the graphics all work fine, but I would prefer to leave the privacy control on.

Has anyone got any ideas about why this is happening and if there is a workaround?

Thanks.

RE: NERO photo disc question

I think NERO uses the serial number that you give it to decide what sort of licence you have ie whether it should work with any cd writer or just a particular model. You can enter a new serial number in the help menu.

RE: link online or techtronics for pioneer 444

I bought my dvd player from techtronics, it arrived in three days which was before they said it would. I`ve never had a problem with it so I can`t comment on their customer service.

I know someone who bought a dvd player from their web site and never got charged for it.

RE: Bargain Hunting

Have a look at:

http://www.dvdpricecheck.co.uk/

They compare prices for dvds from regions 1, 2 and 4 and also vcds (well someone might want them) and include the price of postage to the UK in the comparison. They even take the Austrailian GST tax off in their calculations.

They search about 30 retailers and include links to the internet movie database and a dvd region comparision site.

In my opinion its the best place to start when looking to buy a dvd over the net.

Whats the best place for region 1 Shrek...

... including delivery to the uk?

Oops, I`ve managed to put this in the wrong forum. Moderators - is there any way for me to move this to the software forum?

RE: Kodak digital camera worth £300 for £100 PLUS loads of accessories

I`ve just checked my order status on the kodak web site and it says:

The order status is currently: REMOVED

Has anybody else got this?

I placed my order yesterday and got a confirmation yesterday.
