RE: Shaun of the dead from Send-it.com

I`m not sure, but if the release has been put back because of new cover design then what is being packed at Sendit.com? It`s a very strange state of affairs if you ask me.

And surely in a situation like this (Less so in the example used above) they could simply recall all covers and issue new ones for people to slide in place. Surely that would save a recall when their is essentially nothing wrong with the discs.

Mmmm. Also got an e-mail saying they were not happy with the art work and it would be shippiing next week.

However on their page it is still down as a 6th September release and my order is being packed according to the order status.

A cofused Kev.

RE: Shaun of the dead from Send-it.com

I mean I accept if there is a delay. I`m actually away on buisness until the Tuesday so will be unable to watch it until then but I`d just like to know if it is being delay.

Never used to be nervous about these things but just lately I`ve had orders go dodgey all over the shop. :/

Shaun of the dead from Send-it.com

How do.

Ordered Shaun of the Dead from Sendit.com on Monday. Normally they send their pre-orders out fairly quickly. However they are not even processing the order yet and if they were to get it here for monday you`d have thought they have got it sent by now.

Just wondering if anyone else has had their`s shipped yet. Suffered a spate of delayed orders and mistakes of late. Hope this ain`t another one.

Where`s the best place to buy them? I am very tempted. Carting Cd`s in my bag to away matches and uni is a pain.

RE: BTTF 3

To be continued was only placed on the VHS releases when it was known there would be a follow up. However on DVD you get the verson seen in the cinema, hence therefore no to be continued at the end of back to the future. Hope that helps.

RE: Play.com - possible trouble?

Well just checked my order screen for like the millionith time today only to find the extra Friends disc still there. No status next to it and I can not cancal it myself. The same still goes for LOTRs. They say I have been charged for it but it still does not say processing or anything like that next to it. Whats worrying me is the system will still think it is an outstanding order and keep charging me for it!

RE: Play.com - possible trouble?

Well I checked my bank balance and I have found that I have been charged twice for LOTR 2 disc set. They say they are going to refund me. I`ll keep an eye on it. As for the Friends disc I asked them to cancal it. When I checked I discovered that an extra Friends disc had appeared with the words cancaled next to it. Just phoned them up and they have said they have cancalled the other one off now. Sick of this really now. Everything I have ordered off them of late seems to have been doubled charged or the status not showing up at all.

RE: Play.com - possible trouble?

It not effecting my other orders just these two. Sounds like a problem their end. Going to call them now. I`ll let you know how I get on.

RE: Play.com - possible trouble?

I mean the LOTR R2 is understandable since it is almost out. But the Friends one, thats not released until sometime in september. I`m going to ring them tomorrow and see if I can get to the bottom of the problem.

Play.com - possible trouble?

Just checking my orders on play.com and two DVD I ordered. (Friends season 8 episodes 21-23 and Lord of the rings two disc set) Normally you can cancal your order by clicking on cancal next to each DVD. However the cancal option has disappeared. Normally this would not bother me but a little while this happened with the last order I placed and it kept saying processing afterwards and removed another payment from my bank account. (This was cleared up with a phone call and my money refunded.) Has this removing of the cancal option happened to anyone else because this is starting to worry me. I don`t want to ring them up after every order to correct a mistake on their server.

RE: Spaced 2...at last

The best bit from Spaced series 1 was when Tim knocked on Brians door. Brian goes "Who is it?" Tim replies with "Farther Christmas" Cue Brian to come out of the door, eyes alight with joy and his face lit with pleasure! Brill. Comedy gold. Estate agents was a bit pants I`m afraid. I watched the first two or three episodes and found it a bit naff.

RE: Back To The Future DVD trailers...

I have seen this as well and it was quite a welcome sight since these are three of my fav movies. However a friend has pointed out that he has heard that it will be more like a x-mas release and a cinema re-release of the films in summer. I don`t know if this is true or not. However at least know we know they are working on them.

Kevin

RE: Help with contacting Play

Thanks for the help everyone. I got through just after 5.30 tonight when I got back in from uni. First time as well! Any way my call was re-directed to a woman who said that both Spaced Series 2 and Never say never again was posted today at after 4pm. I presume their computer system was slow to update or something. Any way just been on their site a few minutes ago and what the woman said has been backed up on the orders page. I think I will stick with them since this is the first problem I have encoutered out of a lot of orders. It would be nice of them to reply to e-mails however. Any way thanks for the help.

Regards

Kevin

Help with contacting Play

I have ordered two items from Play247.com. I normally use them and have had no problems so far. I ordered Spaced series 2 and Never say never again. It said processing for both on Saturday morning and I figured they would be in the post by Monday morning if not before then. However only a few minutes ago I checked again and it still says processing. I have had problems contacting them before via e-mail and I heard there was a different e-mail adress that they nearly always seem to answer too. Anyone here know what it is. I am not bothered how long they take, as long as I get them by the end of the week. But I would like to know where they are because they are birthday presents for friends.

Regards

Kevin

Cheers

I am going to cancal my order for this one, thanks for the informtation on this everyone, I would not have knowen otherwise. Cheers

RE: Groundhog Day - Collector`s Edition

Well I am not sure it would really benefit from a DD 5.1 track as it is only a comedy and mainly spoken word. Still for a tenner I am not complaining.... yet :)

Groundhog Day - Collector`s Edition

The R2 Groundhog Day - Collector`s Edition is available for £9.99 on www.play.com you may all know this already but it is quite a saving and a good film to boot. A question to anyone who has bought it, what is the documenty like in terms of length and quality and the same applies for the commentry track on there as well. Cheers.

RE: Anybody got a decent replacement for PLAY247?

Had nowt but great service from play.com, my first order was well over a year ago now and I rember getting that with in two days. The service around Christmas and New Year was a bit slow but that is only to be expected. Some times I do have to wait 3-4 days for the stuff to come (the post up in the North East of England is always a bit slow) but for the money you save off the high street it is worth it. Stick with play mate.

RE: Extras, Extras & Extras

Depends how well the making off is done. I realise what you are saying that some are just the actors going on about how good the film is but these are not making off`s, these are in fact promotional (hope I spelled that right) features that they show on TV sometimes (mainly in the US) However there have been some good making off`s. For example the first 16 Bond films had great making off`s, Star Wars one: TPM great one hour long one, The Godfarther boxset had a really interesting one. Some extras are crap but when they are done right they are very good. The best extras in my mind are the ones which involve the directors. (The simpsons anyone?)

RE: How Many DVD`s Have YOU got???

I have about 150 DVDs. I have all the bond films and all the Friends DVDs.

RE: Simpsons S1 vs Family Guy S1

Can we even try and compair the shows? I don`t think we can, I own both on DVD and watch them both. However they are two very different shows. FG is very off the wall with the story lines and the characters it uses, (talking baby, dog) while the simpsons is fairly realistic in terms of the storys and issues it tackles. The jokes in FG are much more apparent and quick however the simpsons one you have to keep your ears and eyes open for them. The characters are also better developed in the Simpsons however this is due to the show been 12 years old. FG while funny will not last as long the Simpons I think people can not connect with it as well as the Simpsons.

Little help

Okay here is the deal, I am getting £100 + a bit more (read as £200 once I get paid) I want to buy some DVD`s for x-mass but have no idea which ones to get, any ideas would be off great help. Bearing in mind I have about 150 DVD`s so a few of them may be out of the window allready, Bond DVDs and Friends are some of the ones I have. Please help because I have no idea what to buy!!!!
