Desperate for a job to support herself and her three children, she convinces attorney Ed Masry (Albert Finney) to hire her, and promptly stumbles upon a monumental law case against a giant corporation. Now, Erin`s determined to take on this powerful adversary even though no law firm has dared to do it before. And while Ed doesn`t want anything to do with the case, Erin won`t take "no" for an answer.

The front cover of the DVD calls this movie "A triumph" and a triumph it is.
The incredible performance by Roberts is accompanied with a very good casting.
The video transfer is excellent. There are no compressions signs at all and the picture is crystal clear. The dark scenes are rendered beautifully as well.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is ok. This is a 100% dialog based movie, so there is no usage whatsoever of the surrounds. Still, the dialog is always clear and centered.
    The menus are mostly animated.
The extras include a behind the scenes look, an interview with the real Erin Brokovich, 30 minutes of deleted scenes and some production notes.
Bottom line - a very good movie. Worth each and every one of its 5 Oscar nominations. I hope at least Roberts wins. She certainly deserves it.
