Synopsis:
The year is 2003 and stations have been built on the moon, populated by various government representatives from around the world. Heading Moonbase 3 is David Caulder and his team, and they are about to face many challenges to their lunar existence. From Doctor Who producer Barry Letts and writer Terrance Dicks comes this cult sci-fi series originally aired in 1973.
The series had two directors, Ken Hannam who also directed the 1981 TV version of The Day Of The Triffids and Christopher Barry who had directing duties on Doctor Who and The Tripods. Among the stars were British acting stalwart Donald Huston and Ralph Bates, star of many Hammer horror films. Moonbase 3 was another groundbreaking piece of science-fiction from the BBC. With James Burke as scientific advisor, it was unique in its technical audacity. This release features all six episodes from the series.
