I think this film is good for a laugh... an enjoyable mix of mild action, fantasy and comedy.
This could easily have been a great Special Edition, i`d love to see the original cut of this film that used a score by John Williams. Because the film didn`t do to well with the test audiences (the film wasn`t overly funny at the time and as they had just seen Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop, they were expecting him to do his laugh, etc. When they didn`t the film boses got edgy.) they decided to reshoot some stuff, chuck out the John Williams score and shove in a dodgy pop track. So there is loads of room for a special edition here!
