    Synopsis:
    Annie is the story of a plucky, red-haired girl, who dreams of life outside her orphanage and its gin-soaked tyrant, Miss Hannigan (played to perfection by Carol Burnett).

    One day Annie meets the famous billionaire. `Daddy` Warbucks (Albert Finney), and the pair share spectacular times in the New York City of the 1930s. But Miss Hannigan and her zany, villianous colleagues are determined to spoil the fun for America`s favourite orphan...

    Having seen this at the cinema 3 times in 1982 i was looking forward to this release.unfairly dismissed by critics and only moderately successful at the box office.this was one of the better movies of 1982.albert finney is amazing as daddy warbucks.tim curry is yet another villan but at least he gets to to sing and dance.carol burnette is a great miss hannigan and annie herself isnt too annoying.the sets are delightful and movie on dvd has never looked or sounded better.minus points for lack of features and subtitles that go missing when the songs come on.if you love the film its a great buy.but there should of been a documentry with this
