    Review of Snow Job

    2 / 10

    Introduction

"Snow Job" is a low-grade entrant in the "American Pie" teen culture market. Co-starring "Pie"`s Eddie Kay Thomas, the movie documents the gap-year adventures and romances of four young idiots in America`s ski capital Aspen.

Originally released as "Sheer Bliss" (and appearing straight-to-video in the UK), the movie lacks the energy and fun of "American Pie" and its siblings. Moments of sheer cringe replace gross-out comedy and the better actors are given little to do. Hero Milo Ventimiglia dominates screen time, but he is a forgettable face in a sea of zit-faced morons. One-time 007 George Lazenby is underused as is Eddie Kay Thomas, who wasn`t particularly the best thing about "Pie" anyway. The overall romantic storyline this underweight picture is hung on does little to engage the viewer.

    Video

The movie is presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic, although the main titles, the film`s IMDb entry and evidence from the non-anamorphic trailer on the disc indicates the film was originally shot in 2.35:1 and has been cropped for transfer. The transfer is unremarkable otherwise.

    Audio

The film has a Dolby 5.1 audio track, although little is done with the soundtrack to make it worthwhile.

    Features

There are none to speak of, apart from an exclusive trailer for forthcoming oddball movie "May" and a theatrical trailer. There are no subtitles.

    Conclusion

    Don`t know why they bothered.
