Page 3 of The Walking Dead Season 5

Wasn't expecting THAT ending.

After a good start to the season, I thought it dragged. Absolutely hated the hospital story-line - dull as ditch-water - and the Eugene reveal was so obvious he may as well have had it tattooed on his head.

Still - can't wait for the second half to start.

Any news on the spin-off?

They start shooting the pilot next week. Cliff Curtis (Sunshine, Die Hard 4) has been cast as the male lead, with Frank Dillane (Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince) and Alycia Debnam Carey (Into The Storm) taking supporting roles.

It hasn't received a full season order yet, but given TWD's ratings it is unlikely that they will pass on this. Precisely when it will air is anyone's guess. Some have speculated that it will fill the mid-season gap during season 6 of the original show.

Cheers. That would make sense.

I don't think it's that they hate black characters, just that being black in that show is like wearing a red shirt in Star Trek. Every time a new black member of the cast shows up though, the others have got to be wetting themselves!

RIP Julie & Maisie

I didn't mind it though, mainly because it was the first filler we've had this series. As opposed to previous ones which have often been mostly filler.

What's changed this season? Did they sack the writing staff? Swap a producer or two? Panic about ratings?
