Just watched the latest episode (screened) and I`m really enjoying this.  I`m liking Noah Wyle (sp?) in the lead role and the slow learning of how the skinners operate and think...

Just watched the season finale, so, so, weak. :(

Slagged it off a bit here:

lol, that`s a good review, we gave up on it a couple of episodes ago, I was sat there, 5 mins into the one we were watching, "Carter" was talking to a woman, and I was thinking " I could be watching Dexter or Sons of Anarchy now" so deleted the one we were watching and other on V+ box

Like Rob I am sticking with it, phuq knows why .

Anywhoo for "Spielberg " actually read "Discovery Channel Documentaries" Pretty sure they made a couple of documentaries on how to fight back if they arrived here. So much for originality . That said maybe Spielberg wrote this  the same way Gene Roddenberry did and kept getting credited decades after his demise

Anywhoo, utter scheitte. Gash special effects/ Scheitte acting/ Scheitte storyline/ Religion shoe-horned in again!!!!!!/ The sphincter with the beard who was a real bad-a** was a cordon blue chef in a previous life /Alien  "Mothers the harnessed at night "  AYE  RIGHT "   /

It wasnt great but I quite enjoyed `V` so when it was cancelled I was on the lookout for another decent sci fi show, `falling skies` ticked all the boxes....but sadly falls rather flat, its dull, predictable, I dont really care for any of the characters. Some of the SFX on V did look rather ropey (far too much green screen going on) and falling skies has its share of dodgy effects, fair enough your not gonna get movie quality CGI on a weekly tv show but at times they look pretty bad. will I watch the second season? probably as until its cancelled theres not much else on is there....Looking back a couple of years ago I had long running favourites like Lost and  Prison Break (both you could argue `jumped the shark` but I still liked em till the end) Flash forward looked promising, but didnt last, True blood for me isnt as good as it was...whats happening to TV?

I`m ball achingly bored with Falling Skies now.
God, it`s crap.
Five seconds of ropey sfx every episode, with intensely annoying character plots in between.
zzzz.

One of the main reasons SG Universe was dropped (production costs). Viewers growing but the costs of the CGI and sets were high. So in a nutshell we will either get a good storyline with very ropey FX or scheitte storyline with scheitte FX such as "Falling Skies"

I have to agree. The first couple of episodes just never seemed to get going and things are much too sedate for an alien take-over!! I`ve now seen the entire season one and only in the last ten minutes has it really shown any promise at all. Spielbergs influence and special effects have been at a minimum throughout, I feel - until those last ten minutes or so. Will that last push be enough to get a new season?? I hope so, but they`ve left things way too late. We`ll see.
