Aye, Wenger apparently decided he'd invested a lot of time in Wilshere and The Ox, and bringing back Cesc would basically sideline one or the other of them.

Makes sense, we don't need anymore midfielders, and for the price Barca wanted it's better spent on a striker.

All of which is true Rob but it still feels like watching an ex-girlfriend you still fancy getting screwed by your worst enemy.
The pain will be considerably eased though if we find some drop dead gorgeous replacement this summer. As long as she can score goals.

Bacary's said his goodbye as well.

Heh I guess, though his final season with Arsenal he was nowhere near his best, and I'm not sure he ever quite reached his peak at Barca either. So maybe we had the best of him.

Anyway, be interesting to see how he does on his return to the premiership.

Sad to see Sagna go, but again I suspect we've had the best of him.

Fixtures are up!

Palace at home, then Everton and Leicester away, before the first tough game City at home.

Just been reading through them.
No complaints at first look though I'm sure I can find a reason to get upset once all the cup fixtures have to fit in and round.

Hallo. tap tap. (Blows on keyboard) is this thing on.

Just thought I'd clear the Tumbleweed away from the thread.

Liverpool have signed blah blah blah...Man Utd have bought...Chelsea complete the deal for...
But Arsene is busy telling French TV how good all the players we aren't signing are and he's pretty good at beach volleyball so all's right with the world.

All will happen in good time and I'm sure we'll start the season with a full squad but for the sake of my blood pressure please
SIGN SOME PH*KIN PLAYERS

Big rumour you're trying to hijack the LFC Sanchez deal.

The only rumour I keep seeing day in, day out, is the Balotelli one. As good a player as he is when he wants to be, not sure I want that ticking time bomb on our field.

Though it would be ironic, the amount the Arsenal fans (me amongst them) cheered at the Emirates a few seasons ago vs City when he got sent off near the end and we won 1-0.
