Robinho to Man City!!! Did I wake up in the twilight zone ffs??? Who did spurs sign to replace berbatov? Pavlychenko and Campbell on loan? Saha off the wage bill at old trafford! good piece of business, and Everton pay £15 million for a midfielder Spurs sign Corluka, isnt he a right back?? what about Hutton? No Arshavin bargain though ;) and Cousin to Hull, couldnt they have signed him saturday ;) And final question, why so many "undisclosed" signings :( enquiring minds need to know :)

A strike force of Bent and Pavlychenko is quite appetising, and Campbell will be backup. Not ideal, but I guess we`ll have to wait until January to get another decent striker.

Hutton has been injured, and we needed another quality defender, who is versatile enough to play in the centre and on the right side. That seems to be Corluka!

Corluka can play centre back, right back or midfield.

got to say that this transfer window was a huge anticlimax - especially after a player showcase like euro 2008. not many big signings, just seemed to be people adding to their squad rather than first team.

very happy that berbatov has gone for £30.75m (worth nowhere near that). i`m ecstatic that none of that money was spent on dean ashton or emile heskey.

.......and bobo balde still remains a celtic player (the new winston bogarde?)

p.s. good move for for s.wright-phillips. leaves chelsea because of robinho only to find he`s turned up at man city. oh well, he probably wanted to go to portsmouth anyway.

Yeah but you must admit the Robinho thing was quite exciting?

yeah you`re right, but that was the last day and even then it was stoke who had the most irons in the fire. i just meant the whole close season. ronaldo and barry dragged on and went nowhere. usually you have a lot of movement after a big tournament and it never happened - even real madrid only bought 1 or 2 middling names.

strange move for robinho. not saying that there isn`t a big future for man city - but for him to forget scolari and chelsea, to make a quickfore move to man city and mark hughes?

Yes, you`re right about the whole window being dull.

Yeah a bit of a gamble for Robinho but he`s still young so if it goes the way of the pear he`ll be able to go to a big club in a couple of years a much richer man.

I think the problem is that most of the "big" name players from the tournament are already at top clubs abroad and in their first teams so realistically it`s only the "big 4" who could afford or entice most of these players away.

Luka Modric, Samri Nasri, Deco have signed big deals coming in.

Spiderman for Newcastle looked very good against Arsenal (First I`ve seen of him) he was dribbling through 3people at once and seemed to be very strong holding them off aswell.

Also got Elamander, Dossena, Fellaini, Kompany (again looks a very good player and all the big guns have been watching him for years), Jo, Coloccini, Dos Santos, Gomes.

All of them are rated and come in as recognised "name" players.

There`s always a few who will surprise who`ve come in at other clubs aswell. In fact it seems to me there`s been more "big" moves this year than last year.

It`s probably the fact that a lot of the main deals were signed very early in the summer, so it seems quieter on the big deals.

The ironic thing being that SWP leaves a club ran by a billionaire who can virtually buy anyone he wants...therefore freezing him out of the first team...only to face the same problem now!!?! :p
