ADSL Connection Problems

0A1B2C (Elite) posted this on Tuesday, 30th October 2007, 11:20

Last night as I monitored the status of my ADSL connection I saw the SNR rapidly deteriorate until the connection was lost completely. The router then reconnected at a slightly slower speed before disconnecting again after a minute or so. It then continued to try to reconnect again but without success.

After spending 30 minutes in queue I managed to speak to someone from tech support. They don't know what the problem is. I'll have to wait for an engineer to be sent out to the exchange and/or my property in the next 3 days. However, they did manage to "force" a connection at 256kbps, as that is all my line would accept.

My normal connection speed is a stable 3mbps.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Adam

3 mbps is very very slow speed which company are you with becouse i also have a adsl
connection but it registers at 100.0mbps on lan but normal it is 8mbps and only drops out if my driver has crashed which is not often

wat i think it is that you have a fault with your modem you should try reinstalling it
and set up a new connection (dial up) and check if the number dialed is the right one
also check the properties of the connection and select never hang up or drop out after x amout of minutes.

the memory of you will bloom like the flower in the garden of my heart
