My bets are made!

I have £1 on:

  • Netherlands @ 7/2
  • Sweden @ 11/4
  • Austria @ 5/2

Then I have £1 each way on:

  • United Kingdom @ 7/1

And finally, bringing the total extravagance of my gambling addiction up to £10, I have £5 on a top 10 finish for...

  • Norway @ 7/4

That last one may be genius betting or financial suicide, I'm unsure.

If I was a betting type, I'd put my shirt on Austria to win, although I'd hope Poland's dancers might fall out of theirs...

Austria/Sweden 50/50. With that performance Molly will be lucky to get in the top ten...

Yep

Amazing performance from Conchita. All tactical voting rendered obsolete.

Absolute campstravaganza.  Loved it.

Conchita sums up what Eurovision is - a bearded drag act singing a Bond theme song.

The voting was refreshingly unbloc-y.  There was some bloc voting and voting for neighbours, but Conchita did surprisingly well.  Proves it isn't all political.

Molly managed a respectable 40 or so points which is considerably better than the nul points we've done in the past.

Thought Molly deserved more points than that, but I think there is a lot of promotion and airplay before the contest which helps.

Quite a few good songs tonight, probably the strongest Eurovision music wise for ages. I think at least 5 of them I'd happily listen to again!

Won £2.50 on Austria, and whatever I got from Norway finishing top 10, and the most interesting act won, hopefully sticking a big two fingers up at Russia's recent homophobia in the process!

A good evening!

Be interesting to see if Russia does a Nigel Farage and pulls out of next year's contest.

So beardie won

If he had lost, he could have done a shaving cream advert and made a bit of money on the side

It was a good song mind you, and we came in 17th, at least not nill points

I like the song that went Scobby doooby doo, and it was easy to remember

Mark, did you wear your phone out?

The UK phone vote gave Poland's Donatan and Cleo top marks but the jury thought they were the worst act of the night.

Didn't vote at all.  I'm a cheapskate.
