only watched episode 1 so far, as always with these BBC hip hop series it's quite interesting seeing old footage of Hip Hop being born, and there's a lot of names I'd never heard of which will go into youtube and spotify searches :)

Also interesting that it talks about the women behind the scenes, rather than just the rappers and MCs, and that a women was brains behind some of the most influential hip hop classics!

Bizarrely I've got into this lot. I haven't a clue what they are singing about and the vocals do jar at times but they are tight as hell as a live band and love the energy of it all.

the guildhall here is a crap venue, but a workmate and I were still gutted we were too slow off the mark to get tickets to see Last Dinner Party:( all sold out in the "pre-sale".
