I can`t stand Oasis or any of that britpop rubbish, so I`d agree with you without question. However, Q have given this album 4 stars out of 5 with a headline that Oasis have found their mojo...

Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn...

And those who dance will spin and turn,
And those who wait will wait no more,
And those who talk will hear the words,
And those who see will fade and die,
And those who laugh will surely fall,
And those who know will always feel their backs against the thin wall...

Loved the first album, pretty much take or leave the rest of it. However, I thought this album was (in the words of Liam) Proper Sheeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiite

A couple of tracks are okay, but I expected better. Gone are the anthems, still there are the blatant rip offs of other songs.

I used to be a huge Oasis fan, but have fallen out of love with them and this just nails it in the coffin. Even on there last album when you listened to it you could say "this will be a single" but the stuff on here just isn`t good enough. Noel really shouldn`t let anyone write any of the songs - and "The Meaning of Soul" is one of the worst Oasis tracks I`ve ever heard.

The best song on the album - "Part of the Queue" sounds shamelessly the same as Golden Brown.

Oh my God, Bear is driving! How can that be?

As a band, they`re better than they`ve ever been. Quality music writing skills seem to have left them with age.

You`ve been able to get a "preview copy of the album" for a while now. I had it, and it was edited down versions of the full track. The full album has also been kicking around for about 3 weeks now - and it`s not really worth buying sadly. :(

I liked Lyla better when they called it Blockbuster

I f***ing hate Oasis. I quite dug their first album, but since then they have become a self parodying bunch of tits. And the worlds biggest Beatles cover band.

Dear Gamesmaster,

My Friend keeps talking about `Girls`.
What is `Girls` and is it XBox compatable?

I`ve narrowed Oasis-naysayers down to three camps:-

* Those who demand musical "progression", failing to understand that their distinct sound (solid, meaningful, driven, melodic) is what they are and what blows the roof off at gigs while the likes of Radiohead and those Blur pr!cks are busy "experimenting". Remember kids, amatures steal - pros borrow.

* Those fickle types who find it fashionable to revere the latest band, or sound (80`s revival tripe, anyone?) - it offends them that Oasis have lasted 12 years and are still as hair-raisingly rock & roll as ever

* Those jaded, non-event thirty-something men (heh heh! this is you, innit?) whose lives have been p***ed up the wall and are now settling down to a miserable life (what`s left of it, it`s all downhill from here) of factory work and @rse-faced wives - they are bitter and snidey about two men of around the same age who have not only made it to be as rich and famous as we would all secretly like to be, but also strut around playing the part (Liam) and make bold, public statements about anyone and anything (Noel). Oh my! They are rubbing your noses in it aren`t they? Gits.

Anyone with any musical sense whatsoever will give a respectful nod to this band, whether they consider themselves fans or not.
