I am really considering buying this but i just wondered if anyone can tell me what the quality of the sound is like when playing audio cds.
Is it noticeably worse than a dedicated hi-fi?

I`ll give you a bump for this as i want some feedback also.

Don`t know what it sounds like with cds, but I listened to it playing the Iron Giant in currys, I felt it was a bit tinny!

I`ve got this but hardly ever use it for playing CD`s on. The ones I have tried sounded OK but they r never gonna be comparable to A good HiFi. It does sound excellent when watching DVD`s though. Just got Saving Private Ryan(DTS) and had to turn it down when the tank attack happened as the walls were shaking. (Well it is a new house).
You should take a CD down to Dixons/Currys and try it out. For the size of the speakers and the amp I`m very impressed.
