Playing CD-R on Samsung 511

I have a Samsung 511 DVD player and want to find a way of playing CD-R VCD discs on it. Is there any way around this without chipping the player or getting an external box?

Well there is only one way to say this.
No it won`t play CD-R discs.. it never will..

`Fraid so. If you want a Sammy that plays CD-Rs properly, you need a 611 or above. Sorry.

You could try RW discs? I know that a Panasonic and Toshiba will not play CD-R but will play RW.

The last ones I bought ( Mirror Media ) were only 99p!
