Hi,

I`ve just recently sold my old 2 megapixel digital camera and I`m now looking to replace it with either a Digital Camera or Digital Video Camera, Budget is upto £200 for a Digital Camera and £300 for a Digital Video Camera, can people advice me on the best deals currently available and which one I should go for?

Thanks,

G

I purchased a Fuji M603 about a year ago which is a 3mp stills camera with the ability to shot movies with sound at 640 x 480 30 frames per second which is VHS quality.

It is approx 9cm high,4.5cm deep and 5cm wide so will just fit in your pocket but compared to carrying round a camera and a video camera it is brilliant its only downfall is the cost of memory to shoot video at the high quality setting , I have a 512mb microdrive that will take nearly 900 3mp pictures but only 7.5minutes of video.
I am looking to purchase a 2gb drive that go for about £100 on ebay which will allow me to shot appox 30minutes of video.
The basic camera costs around £300 online and in my opinion is worth every penny

when i brought my camera last november it cost me £550 with a 512mb drive
the other good thing is memory gets cheaper and cheaper a year ago a 2gb drive would of cost £220 now approx £100 .

According to the thread in the Bargain Buckets forums.......the Canon A80 is a steal at £199. Does anyone have any better suggestions for around the same price?

Cheers,

G
