Very Very Very Naff

I could see Roger Moore wearing it in a bond film.

The problem with watches is they are a bit of a personal thing style wise, you can put your phone in a wide range of cases but the watch is going to always look the same.

Mind you, the first iPhone wasn't the success Apple hoped, it took the 3G and the AppStore to change the marketplace. Maybe this will be the same.

The watch looks a bit naff to me. Sort of retro (failed).

As someone commented on Twitter: If it doesn't undo zips what's the point.

Not followed the launch that closely other than to notice Stephen Fry at the launch and wetting himself on Twitter. Hardly surprising though being the Apple fanboy he is.

So what does 6 do that 5 didn't other than in a different size and a bit sharper?

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

I'm sure the phones will do well - they were crying out for bigger units and the 5's will still be available if you want a smaller phone. Not sure about the sticky-out lens on the back though.

Not so sure about the watch. And you have to have a phone to work with it. People doing the usual thing of talking like Apple just invented the smartwatch. There's a sh*tload of them out there (that people aren't really buying). Doubtless wearable tech will be a big thing but the apple watch didn't grab me.

Apple pay. Google Wallet anyone? Who knows whether this will take off. It's getting the banks/card companies on board that matters and it's US only of course.

I like my iphone (4s), but having broke free from the 'need' to upgrade cycle, i don't feel i missed out at all.
Underwhelmed by Apple's new iphone and baffled why we need a smart watch.

I am a watch nut, have over 20 of different shapes, styles and prices and was looking forward to the watch but tbh did nothing for me, as for the phones, too big, i never got the people who have a phablet, my 5c is the perfect size so if both  new phones are much larger I will stick with what I have

Microsoft apparently launching their own watch:

Poor MS, they just don't realise one of the main reasons people don't buy Windows phones and watches is because they are really uncool.
