Well if Scotland becomes independent then every commercial interest that was UK based will have to be renegotiated. And the BBC would no longer broadcast to Scotland, unless there was some license fee.
So yes, initially they would miss out on Eastenders and Corrie, though quite why that isn't a selling point for the yes campaign I don't know!

If true I'll be knocking on Salmond's door demanding political asylum.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

See this is the kind of 'little thing' practicality that I think has not been thought about much. How exactly will this work?
Terrestrial analogue TV is no longer an issue but the BBC is now transmitted over other carriers now whether it's Freeview, Sky, Virgin, etc. Yes, they're digital channels but this kind of implies that all the TV providers will now need a simple Scottish package to remove all the BBC channels unless paid for.
And how will that be managed seeing as no one else actually pays for the BBC via their carrier but directly to the BBC? Are we going to see a Scottish incursion by lots of 'detector vans'?

So if it's yes when do Scottish notes cease to be legal tender down here?
Because I can see them being refused whether they are or not.

Scotland would probably get the BBC for free. Is this not the case in Ireland? Of course, they'd get no input into it and lose all Scottish channels but still...
2nd round Salmon/Darling TV debate held tonight.
Polls say Salmon won this round 71%. but it means nothing except for the vote on the 18th.
After watching it, Darling looked anything but honest, compared to Salmons sincerity.
One interesting point was that if it is a YES vote, Trident subs and infrostructure would removed latest 2020 to somewhere else, where? (in five and a half years).
But it will take to 2028 (fourteen years) before the weapons stored are removed SAFELY from the Scottish hills, and moved to?
Salmon said an interesting thing that the English/Welsh/N Irish people should have a say in possibly scrapping it altogether and the next gen of weapons, and save the country £80 billion. That money could be used elsewhere, considering the state of the country under recession.

I'm surprised you need to ask, I thought you'd have known already...
And Salmond and sincerity are not two words I'd use in the same sentence.

Well he had his hands crossed together in a statemans pose....
That's good enough for me (easily satisfied)
Latest poll 51% in favour (YES), 49% against (NO).
So its going to be a close run thing.
They are expecting a high 80% or more, turnout.

RE: The Scottish Referendum
I really hope you all vote to leave. Sorry, that's the wrong word. I'm a strong believer in self-determination, so if it's what Scotland wants, then they should do it.
